Transfer by motorcoach from Central, PA to the Philadelphia International Airport for a flight to sunny San Diego, California. Hotel: Embassy Suites San Diego Bay.
Thursday, September 11, 2025: San Diego, California
After breakfast join a local guide for a tour through San Diego's downtown including the famous Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, and Old Town San Diego. The afternoon is yours to explore at your leisure before joining your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Friday, September 12, 2025: San Diego - Carlsbad - Los Angeles
Begin the day with a harbor cruise of beautiful San Diego Bay while cruising beside sea lions and seeing the powerful Naval ships docked in the harbor. Later, head north to the quaint coastal town of Carlsbad, California where you'll enjoy a walking food tour for lunch. Afterwards you'll head to the entertainment capital of the world of Los Angeles, California. Hotel: Omni Los Angeles. (Breakfast Lunch)
Saturday, September 13, 2025: Los Angeles
After breakfast you'll have the opportunity to explore the sprawling City of Angels on a combination bus/walking tour. You'll see the Grand Central Market, the famous Bradbury Building, an architectural marvel, and the Hollywood Bowl. We'll stroll along the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame where you'll see countless famous stars of stage and screen with their stars on the boardwalk and the historic Grauman's Chinese Theater. Take a closeup look at the iconic Hollywood sign before heading over to indulge in the glitz and glamour of Rodeo Drive. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Sunday, September 14, 2025: Los Angeles - Santa Barbara - Pismo Beach
Today we'll head towards California's Central Coast with a stop at the Old Mission of Santa Barbara which is the only mission that the Franciscan friars still occupy, before continuing to the beautiful grounds of the Queen of the Missions gardens, cemetery, and chapel. You'll be able to enjoy the rest of this beautiful city at your own leisure before we head to the famous Pismo Beach, another Central Coast gem. Hotel: Vespera Resort on Pismo Beach. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Monday, September 15, 2025: Pismo Beach
Enjoy this day of leisure at your own pace or join in for an optional excursion to Hearst Castle (additional fee), one of the only castles on the west coast. This castle was a highlight of the roaring 1920's. After lunch, visit an elephant seal rookery to see these awesome creatures as they lounge on the beach. Don't forget to relax and take in the breathtaking sunset on Pismo Beach in the evening! (Breakfast)
Tuesday, September 16, 2025: Pismo Beach - Paso Robles - Visalia
After breakfast we'll travel inland to the Paso Robles wine country, home to over 200 family-run wineries! While it may not be as well known as the Napa wine region, it is every bit as beautiful. We'll stop here for lunch before continuing on to the town of Visalia, the gateway to the giant Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Hotel: Visalia Marriott at The Convention Center. Wednesday, September 17, 2025: Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks
Today we'll head to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada mountain range where we'll meet up with a local tour guide. See the awesome towering General Grant tree on a guided walking tour amongst the giant redwoods, and learn about the history of this region along with the flora and fauna. In the afternoon we'll visit the world's largest tree the General Sherman standing at over 275 feet tall! Then it's your choice! Continue on with your local guide to explore the Giant Forest -OR- take a brisk hike with your Tour Manager along the Congress Trail. In the evening join your traveling companions for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant and reflect on the days amazing journey. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Thursday, September 18, 2025: Visalia - Los Angeles
This morning after breakfast we'll bid farewell to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range and head back south to the bustling city of Los Angeles, on the way there we'll stop off a the Getty Center. This world famous museum boasts a stunning array of fine art, impressive architecture, and gorgeous gardens. Hotel: Hyatt Regency LAX. (Breakfast)
Friday, September 19, 2025: Los Angeles, California - Tour Ends
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight and transportation back to Central, PA (Breakfast).

This means you like a balanced approach to travel. Walking two to three miles over the course of a day is no problem for you. You can partake in a two-hour leisurely walking tour, covering up to two miles (with included breaks). You can handle a variety of terrains, from cobblestone streets to moderate hills with relative ease and without assistance. You can climb two flights of stairs with ease. There may be 1 to 2 days on this tour when walking tours can cover 3 to 4 miles over uneven terain. Expect some full days balanced with free time to recharge or set out on your own adventure. You can handle altitudes up to 6,000 feet. While this level is appropriate for travelers that require mobility assistance devices, there could be times when you may have to sit out on a some of the included activities.

Payment
A deposit of $698 is due at the time of reservations. Final payment due to AAA by May 29, 2025.
Cancellation Penalties
From deposit date to day of departure $25 per person, plus...
From March 10, 2025 to June 11, 2025: $698 per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees
From June 12, 2025 to August 25, 2025: 40% of total price, plus any additional suppliers' fees
From August 26, 2025 to September 9, 2025: 75% of total price, plus any additional suppliers' fees
After September 10, 2025: Non-Refundable

Insurance
For your protection , AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Clothing/Climate
Temperatures in Southern California average in the mid 60's to high 70's, with cooler temperatures at higher elevations. Summer clothing, with layers for higher elevations, and sturdy non-slip footwear are recommended.
Baggage
Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17"x14"x4" with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.
Travel Assistance
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance. If you require any special assistance while on tour, please make us aware at time of reservation so the necessary request form can be sent to your attention.
