Sunday, August 1, 2027 - Depart Central PA for Boston, Massachussettes

Today we set out on our trip to coastal Maine and the famous Maine Lobster Festival! Depart by motorcoach from Central, PA for Boston, Massachusetts with appropriate comfort stops and a fast-food lunch stop en-route.*  Later today, we’ll arrive in the Boston area, check into our hotel, and enjoy a relaxing evening. After time to settle in at the hotel, enjoy a group welcome dinner. Hotel: Westin Hotel, Waltham, MA (Dinner)

Monday, August 2, 2027 - Boston Freedom Trail - Ogunquit, Maine

After breakfast, explore Boston’s Freedom Trail and discover the city’s role in America’s founding. Enjoy lunch at historic Faneuil Hall, then travel to Ogunquit for hotel check in, a warm welcome, and dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Gorges Grant Hotel, Maine (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Tuesday, August 3, 2027 - Portland Head Light - Boothbay Harbor Cruise

After breakfast, set out to explore coastal Maine, beginning at Portland Head Light—one of the nation’s oldest working lighthouses. Enjoy a guided tour of Portland and its historic Old Port waterfront before traveling to charming Boothbay Harbor. Spend free time exploring and having lunch, then take a scenic cruise through the harbor to spot seals, lighthouses, and rugged coastline. Later, check into your hotel for a relaxing two night stay and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Rockland Harbor Hotel, Maine (Breakfast, Dinner)

Wednesday, August 4, 2027 - Maine Prison Store - Mount Battie - The Maine Lobster Festival!

After breakfast, set out to explore Maine’s mid coast. Stop at the Maine Prison Store for unique, handcrafted goods, then visit Camden and take in stunning views from Mount Battie. Continue to Rockland for a lively day at the Maine Lobster Festival, featuring fresh lobster, entertainment, art, and local vendors. Enjoy an included lobster meal before returning to your hotel for the evening. (Breakfast, Lobster meal ticket)

Thursday, August 5, 2027 - Kennebunkport - Lobster Cruise - York Village - Cape Neddick Light House

Following breakfast, enjoy the day touring some of southern Maine’s coastal villages. It’s off to the popular summer resort of Kennebunkport, which draws artists, writers, and Presidents alike! Enjoy a scenic drive along the ocean to Walker’s Point, passing the well-known summer home of President George H.W. Bush. Then board a scenic Lobster Cruise to learn all about these tasty crustaceans while enjoying the coastal beauty. We’ll continue on to the village of York, for a picture stop at one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country – the Cape Neddick Light, more popularly known as “the Nubble”. Friday, August 6, 2027 - Depart for Central, PA

Enjoy breakfast before departing home to Central, PA with appropriate comfort stops and a fast-food  lunch stop en-route. (Breakfast)

After May 27, 2027 – 100% non-refundable

Non Members must add $60 to above rates. Rates are subject to availability at the time of booking and include taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges, which are subject to change. All pricing and included features are based on a minimum of 30 full-fare passengers.

Activity Level:

Moderate: Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Assistance:

For person comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.

What Will The Weather Be Like?

Temperatures for Maine in August average in the mid to high 70s, dipping into the upper 50s for mornings and evenings. Casual clothes good for layering are suggested for a variety of temperatures. Comfortable walking shoes are also recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.

How Many Bags May I Bring?

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a small carry on bag.
