Friday, September 17, 2027 - Scottsdale - Sedona - Grand Canyon

Begin the day with a visit to Sedona and see the amazing rock formations. Afterward, travel through the beautiful scenery before arriving at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – the spectacular Grand Canyon. Upon arrival, relax at one of the many public seating areas overlooking the vast and colorful canyon. Take a moment to snap some breathtaking pictures as you stand in awe of this iconic natural treasure. This evening, you’ll have time to explore Grand Canyon Village and the South Rim on your own. Sunday, September 19, 2027 - Bryce Canyon National Park - Springdale, Utah

Today, wonder around Bryce Canyon National Park, one of the most spectacular scenic wonders of the world. The formations within the park, called hoodoos, are the creation of wind and water erosion leading to oxidized iron within the rock which is what gives the formations their striking orange and red hues. Take a walk along the Rim Trail, looking into the expansive Bryce Amphitheater from overlooks at Sunrise and Sunset Points. This afternoon, travel through Red Canyon and Dixie National Forest towards Zion National Park. Arrive in Springdale, the gateway to Zion National Park . Friday, September 24, 2027 - Jackson Hole - Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks

Today you’ll see Jackson Hole and pass through Grand Teton National Park. Towering more than a mile above the valley of Jackson Hole, the Grand Tetons’ Twelve Teton peaks reach above 12,000 feet and support a dozen mountain glaciers. The Teton Range is the youngest range in the Rockies and displays some of North America’s oldest rocks. Later, arrive at Yellowstone National Park and take in the park’s incredible sights. Saturday, September 25, 2027 - Yellowstone National Park - Cody - Sheridan, Wyoming

A full day of sightseeing begins with a trip along Yellowstone Lake and over Sylvan Pass. As you pass through Cody, stop at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a tribute to one of the most well known figures of the Old West. Take your time to explore at your own pace -OR- join a private guided tour through the Draper Natural History Museum & Plains Indian Museum -OR- join a private guided tour through the Buffalo Bill Museum & Cody Firearms Museum. Sunday, September 26, 2027 - Sheridan, Wyoming - Rapid City, South Dakota

Today visit the Crazy Horse Memorial, a monument dedicated to Native Americans. Visit the Native American Cultural Center to learn more about local customs, where Native Americans discuss the movements of their dances and the significance of different clothes. Afterwards you’ll stop at Mount Rushmore to view the four famous Presidential figures carved in stone. Monday, September 27, 2027 - Depart for Central PA

Active- This is a fast-paced trip with longer days and shorter periods of time to rest. Longer walking tours up to 3-5 hours in length and over 10,000 steps along varied types of terrain are typical. High altitude destinations and moderate temperatures may be featured. This trip can include frequent physically challenging activities. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with serious medical conditions.

What travel documents do I need?

Do I need Travel Insurance?

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

When do I book excursions?

What will the weather be like?

Temperatures for these National Parks and Surrounding Areas in September average in the mid 50s’s to low 90s with cooler mornings and evenings in the mid 30s to low 60s. Casual clothes that are good for layering and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.

How Many Bags May I Bring?

Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17in x 14in x 4in with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.
