Do I Need Travel Insurance?

For your protection AAA highly recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage only if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit. Other conditions may apply; ask your Travel Advisor. AAA recommends Allianz Insurance.

Where will my seat be on the plane?

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases the names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.

What Travel Documents Do I Need?

An original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s) is required for this tour. Passport numbers are required in advance. Please provide your passport information at the time of booking. An Egyptian visa is required for this tour and costs approximately 35 US Dollars (subject to change). You must obtain your own visa upon your arrival in Egypt. Visas can be obtained at the airport, and payment should be made in cash. What will the weather be like and is there a dress code?

Temperatures for Egypt during this time average in the 60s-90s with cooler evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Given the high temperatures in Egypt during the summer, we recommend wearing loose and lightweight clothing. Additionally, it’s advisable to pack a scarf, shawl, or light jacket for cooler evenings. Comfortable, yet sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Be sure to bring plenty of sun protection.

Dress Code: For dining on the Nile Cruise, the dress code is smart casual, meaning there are no strict requirements for formal wear, but guests are welcome to dress up if they prefer. During the day on board, guests can relax in casual attire. For day trips to visit temples, comfortable shorts and t-shirts are perfectly acceptable. However, when visiting religious sites like mosques, women are asked to dress more conservatively, covering their elbows and knees. The Tour Director will advise prior if visiting religious sights so guests can prepare their outfits in advance.
