Fun Things To Do: 

  • Nova Scotia is home to 160 lighthouses, and you can get to many of them easily from Halifax. Visit the most photographed lighthouse in the world at Peggy's Cove.
  • • Take a historical and anecdote-filled tour through the streets of Halifax. Explore the hilltop fortress and the Citadel and enjoy the best panoramic views around.
  • • Relax on a drive through the beautiful Nova Scotian countryside to the moody, weathered village of Peggy's Cove. Walk along the rocks to view the craggy coastline with its bold glacier-formed outcroppings of granite and its impressive lighthouse.

General Information

Travel documents:

U.S. citizens on homeport cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port) are currently able to enter or depart the country with a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and government-issued photo ID. AAA recommends traveling with an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s).

As of the writing of this brochure, all travelers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the last dose having been administered at least 14 days prior to departure to travel with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Additional COVID-19 related requirements including a pre-embarkation test may be required. As travel policies are rapidly changing, as a result of COVID-19, the final requirements will be communicated prior to departure.

Payment:

Deposit of $100 per person/$200 per cabin will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by M arch 23, 2023.

Clothing/Climate:

Average temperatures in Nova Scotia in June is in the 70s. Daytime, casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Evenings require casual or semiformal attire, with one formal nights.

Baggage:

Two suitcases per person will be allowed by the cruise line. You may also bring a small carry-on bag.

Travel Assistance:

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
