Monday, September 28: Travel to Ocean City Maryland
8:00AM: Motorcoach will depart Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn office, 2301 Paxton Church Road, upper lot behind the building.
9:00AM: Motorcoach will depart Lancaster, AC Moore store at the Lancaster Shopping Center on the Oregon Pike/Route 272 side of the store; travel to Ocean City, MD with a fast food lunch stop enroute.
Welcome to Ocean City Maryland, one of trip advisor’s top 10 beaches. It’s here that you can experience 10 miles of beautifully maintained sand, swimming and sun along the Atlantic Ocean. Or stroll the three-mile boardwalk. The choices are endless and at your leisure during your fall getaway to Ocean City, Maryland.
Arrive at your Ocean front hotel with time to relax and freshen up before an optional dinner.
Hotel: Holiday Inn Oceanfront, 6600 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD.
Tonight an optional dinner will be at Harrison’s Harbor Watch Restaurant, which is located at the southern end of the boardwalk overlooking the Inlet and Assateague Island. Dinner $44.00 per person.
Following dinner spend some time strolling the boardwalk before our motocoach takes us back to the hotel for the evening. (Breakfast)
Tuesday, September 29: Ocean City at your leisure or optional excursion
After breakfast you may choose to enjoy the day at your leisure to explore all Ocean City has to offer, OR choose to go on the optional excursion for the day.
Optional Excursion: Meet our local step on guide and depart for a day of touring. Arrive at the boat docks and climb aboard “The Explorer” where you’ll relax on this fun and educational eco-cruise around the beautiful Sinepuxent Bay. Next visit Assateague Island National Seashore Park, which is famous for the “Home of the Wild Ponies,” where the ponies roam free and the Sika deer play. Be sure to bring your camera as you may experience many great photo opportunities on the motorcoach driving tour through the park. Then it’s onto Assateague Island’s Visitors Center. Here you will experience an educational presentation done through state of the art exhibits. There will be ample time to watch the 30-minute film about this incredible barrier island and free time for the gift shop. Next, take a step back in time as you visit the charming, Victorian town of Berlin voted one of “America’s Coolest Small Towns,” where you will have independent time at the specialty shops and lunch on your own. Return to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at your leisure to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and dinner on your own. (Breakfast)
Wednesday, September 30: Ocean City day at your leisure
After breakfast the entire day is at your leisure to explore all Ocean City has to offer. (Breakfast)
** Motorcoach service’s will be provided at scheduled times to take passengers to the boardwalk and back to the hotel.
Thursday, October 1: Depart for Central Pennsylvania
After breakfast enjoy some leisure time before departing for Central Pennsylvania with a rest stop enroute. (Breakfast)

A $25 per person cancellation fee will be charged by Discoveries in addition to any other supplier’s fees. From August 24, 2020 to day of departure no refunds.

Temperatures for Ocean City, MD in September/October average in the 60s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.
