Monday, March 13, 2023: Tour begins in Monterey, California

Depart Central PA by motorcoach and transfer to the Philadelphia International Airport for your flight to San Jose, CA.

Tuesday, March 14, 2023:  Monterey 

The morning is yours to relax or explore this charming city independently. Perhaps you’ll visit the renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium or walk along Monterey’s Path of History – a self-guided tour of the city’s historic landmarks. This afternoon, the scenery of your dreams comes alive as you travel along the famed 17-Mile Drive to Carmel. See the Lone Cypress Tree, Seal Rock, and prestigious Pebble Beach Golf Course before relaxing over dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Monterey Marriott; Monterey, CA (Breakfast, Dinner)

Wednesday, March 15, 2023: Oakdale and Tuolomne (Yosemite)

Travel east through California’s Central Valley and along the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Stop in Oakdale, where almond and walnut orchards dot the landscape. Meet up with a local farmer, who will show you around town and bring you to his small farm where you’ll enjoy a taste of central California. Thursday, March 16, 2023: Yosemite National Park

Raise a glass of locally produced wine and toast to your California adventure. Tonight, enjoy an evening to explore San Francisco as you please. Monday, March 20, 2023: Depart San Francisco to Central Pennsylvania

Your tour comes to a close today, leaving you with many fond memories. Transfer to the San Francisco International Airport for your flight and transportation back to Central, PA (Breakfast)

This tour requires moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Travel Documents

U.S. State department and destination specific travel regulations at the time of brochure printing required the following documents for your travel, a valid government issued photo ID or passport. Travel regulations and state compliance requirements are subject to and have been known to change.  For the most current requirements, which due to potential changes may be other than listed here, please consult with your Travel Advisor.

Effective immediately and until further notice, all guests traveling with AAA Member Choice Vacations® will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the final dose having been administered at least 14-days prior to the start of the tour in order to travel. Additional testing and travel requirements may be required. All travel requirements are subject to change at any time and final requirements will be confirmed prior to departure. 


Payment

A deposit of $600 per person will confirm your reservation.  Final Payment is due to AAA by December 29, 2022.

Cancellation Penalties

Deposit date to day of departure $25 per person, plus…

September 14, 2022- January 11, 2023- $600 per person, plus additional suppliers’ fees
From January 12 – February 25, 2023-  30% per person, plus additional suppliers’ fees 
From February 26 – March 12, 2023- 50% per person, plus additional suppliers’ fees 
After March 13, 2023- NON-REFUNDABLE

*Airfare is non-refundable after final payment.


Flight

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator.  Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure.  Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed.  Some flights may contain code share agreements.

Insurance

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance.  Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only.  Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent.  AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate

Temperatures for this region in March average in the 60s with cooler evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work best. Comfortable walking shoes and a small umbrella are recommended.

Baggage

One suitcase per person will be allowed.  You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat.  Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport. 

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance.
