Long before it became popular by the Kennedys and the home of high end retail and fashion, Georgetown was a working class port city pre-dating Washington DC. Its roots are still very much alive and can be seen in the red brick town homes, and turn of the century factories that are found throughout the area.
The Georgetown Food Tour will take place in the heart of historic Georgetown and will combine its history, architecture, and culture with cherry blossom inspired cuisine from some of the area’s best restaurants. The result is a dining experience that will expand and challenge the palette with an array of flavors, tastes, and textures.
After the tour of Georgetown, relax on a 45 minute narrated Cherry Blossom cruise which highlights the historic sites along the Potomac River, to include the Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, John F. Kenney Center, and the Memorial Bridge. The cruise provides a great vantage point to enjoy the beautiful Cherry Blossoms, for which Washington D.C. is known for.
After the cruise, free time will be provided in Alexandria for shopping, eating, or just to relax along the Potomac River.
Itinerary is subject to change at any time without notification and or compensation.
