Morning arrival at the Visitor Center in Fredericksburg. Enjoy an introductory video before departing with the local guides for a Food Tour, garnished with history.

You’ll ride and walk the streets that colonial statesmen, Revolutionary War generals, and future American Presidents once called home. Hear how both Union and Confederate forces paid the ultimate price of civil war, and visit memorials in their honor. View the Rappahannock River, a vital colonial port that served as a gateway to points west. Admire centuries old architecture where Fredericksburg’s thriving downtown businesses now reside.

We will stop at unique, one-of-a-kind shops and restaurants where you will have an opportunity to sample a variety of tastings prepared by chefs known for being on the cutting edge of culinary trends. Rich in history, but by no means stuck in the past, Fredericksburg, Virginia will satisfy even the most discerning appetites.

Savor a treat at Carl’s vintage ice cream parlor before departing for Central Pennsylvania. A possible fast food rest stop will be made en route. Itinerary is subject to change at any time without notification and or compensation.



5:30AM - Motorcoach will depart Lancaster, AC Moore store, at the Lancaster Shopping Center on the Oregon Pike/Route 272 side of the store.

6:30AM - Motorcoach will depart from Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn, 2301 Paxton Church Rd, upper lot behind the building; travel to Virginia with a rest stop en route.

8:00PM - Approximate arrival time back inLancaster.

9:00PM - Approximate arrival time back in Harrisburg.

Tour Activity Level: 2
This tour requires average physical activity. You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven ground and cobblestoned streets.

Full payment of $239 per person is due to AAA with this registration to confirm your reservation. Solo Travelers Rewards Club maximum voucher redemption: $20


Day of payment to day of departure: No refunds unless a replacement traveler is provided by the registered participant.


For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.


Temperatures for Virginia in November average in the 50s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.
