8:45AM - Motorcoach will depart from Lancaster Airport, located at 500 Airport Road, Lititz, PA 17543
10:15AM - Anticipated arrival to the West Chester Railroad.
Welcome to the West Chester Railroad! Explore the railroad prior to boarding your 11:00am Santa Express Train.
Join Santa for a journey on our heated decorated train through the Chester Creek Valley. Santa will be greeting everyone at Market Street Station and then going along for the ride to Glen Mills and return. Santa will be visiting all passengers while on the train. Make sure you bring your holiday lists with you so Santa can check them twice! Passenger's will also enjoy live entertainment onboard!
A boxed lunch, including choice of sandwich, chips, fruit, a sweet, and water will be provided to enjoy onboard the train. Feel free to bring additional snacks from home for your day in eastern Pennsylvania.
Following the train ride, depart for William H. Gray III 30th Street Station in Philadelphia with a brief rest stop en route.
2:00PM - Underground Philadelphia: Subways, Railways & Stations tour departs from 30th Street Station.
Discover the Philadelphia Plan which gave us two Art Deco masterpieces, the monumental 30th Street Station and Suburban Station. Starting at 30th Street Station, travel via trolley to 19th Street. From the Comcast tower lobby descend into an underground concourse network to the site of the:The Gallery, before ending at Reading Terminal Market. Along the way lament the loss of Broad St. Station and learn about the 1905-mid-1950s trolley and subway lines, the Broad Street subway (1928), the Commuter Rail Tunnel (1984), and the former Reading Terminal, now part of the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
*This is a walking tour that requires the ability to walk and stand for the entirety of the tour without any seated rest stops. This tour also requires the ability to descend and climb stairs and the ability to ride an escalator.
4:00PM - The Underground Philadelphia tour concludes at Reading Terminal Market. Enjoy your free time in the Market to explore and purchase dinner along with any other snacks for the evening.
5:00PM - Approximate departure time from the Reading Terminal Market for the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania.
Visit the Morris Arboretum and view their Holiday Garden Railway Display. The Garden Railway includes a quarter mile of track featuring multiple loops, tunnels, and bridges, various rail lines, and model trains all decorated for the holidays and set in the lovely garden of the Morris Arboretum.
*Visiting the Holiday Garden Railway Display requires the ability to walk along both well-lit, paved and mulched paths.
7:30PM - Anticipated departure time for Lancaster.
9:00PM - Anticipated arrival back to Lancaster

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.
This Ramble is subject to cancellation due to insufficient and/or late registration. Please contact the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania or go online at www.rrmuseumpa.org for membership options. Included in these rates is $15.00, which is a contribution to the nonprofit Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. This amount is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. (Contribution may be less if the minimum number of passengers is not achieved.) The $10.00 non-member fee in these rates also is a contribution to the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
Full payment is due to AAA Central Penn with completed registration from to confirm the reservation.
A $25 per person cancellation fee will be charged by Discoveries in addition to any other supplier’s fees.

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Temperatures in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in December average in the 40s with cooler mornings and evenings. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.
This itinerary requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, possibly over uneven terrain, climb and descend stairs, and use an escalator. For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
