Tour Providence, “America’s Renaissance City.” See prestigious Brown University and learn about the city’s vibrant art, cultural, and culinary scenes. Depart for Newport and return to America’s Gilded Age as you traverse breathtaking Ocean Drive en route to Bellevue Avenue. Lined with extraordinary 19th-century summer “cottages,” this road is home to seven mansions designated as National Historic Landmarks. Then it’s your choice! Explore stunning Marble House, built by Mr. and Mrs. William K. Vanderbilt and modeled after the Petit Trianon at Versailles or tour Rosecliff, the opulent former residence of silver heiress Theresa Fair Oelrichs, well-known for her lavish parties. Monday, August 3, 2020: Providence - Plymouth, Massachusetts - Cape Cod

Delve into rural life as you tour a New England cranberry bog where you’ll learn about dry harvesting. Then, step back in time with a stop in the celebrated town of Plymouth where the Pilgrims landed in 1620. See legendary Plymouth Rock and board a true reproduction of the Mayflower, the 102-passenger ship used by the Pilgrims on their 65-day journey from England. Experience the days of the Pilgrims with a visit to Plimoth Plantation, an incredible re-creation of a 17th-century village. Today’s lunch teaches you how to “eat like a Pilgrim.” Sample recipes from that time, learn some Pilgrim etiquette, and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast with your fellow travelers. Thursday, August 6, 2020: Cape Cod - Hyannis - Nantucket - Cape Cod

Catch a glimpse of the Camelot era in Hyannisport, home of the Kennedy compound, and visit the poignant Kennedy Memorial. Next, set off via ferry to explore the idyllic island of Nantucket. From its cobblestone Main Street to its beaches and lighthouses, this place truly lives up to its reputation. During time at leisure, you may meander the waterfront where sailboats and yachts sway in the harbor or shop for a famous Nantucket basket. After breakfast, transfer to Boston International airport for your flight home and transportation to Central, PA. (Breakfast) Itinerary is subject to change at any time without notification and/or compensation.

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Deposit of $500 per person will confirm your reservation. Final Payment is due to AAA by May 18, 2020.

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.


Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights schedules may contain code share agreements.


Temperatures for the New England region in July and August average in the 70s to 80s. Casual clothes that can be layered, comfortable walking shoes, and a small umbrella are recommended.


One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
