Friday, February 10: Travel to Montreal

6:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from Lancaster, from the former AC Moore store, located 1515 Lititz Pike at the Lancaster Shopping Center on the Oregon Pike/ Route 272 side of the store.

7:00AM: Depart from Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn, 2301 Paxton Church Rd; travel to Montreal with appropriate rest and meal stops en-route. Check into the hotel with time to freshen up before a delightful dinner at a local restaurant. The remainder of the evening is at your leisure to venture out and experience Montreal on your own.  Hotel: Hampton Inn by Hilton, Montreal, QC. Downtown (Dinner)

Saturday, February 11: Travel to Quebec City, Hôtel de Glace (Ice Hotel), Night Parade 

After breakfast depart for Quebec City where we'll begin with a very special and unique experience, a visit to the Ice Hotel!  The only one of its kind in North America, the Hôtel de Glace. Fascinating art and winter splendor greet you as soon as you enter the Grand Hall. You'll be awestruck by the hotel's rooms and themed suites that are decorated with majestic sculptures. We'll enjoy a delicious cocktail served in a glass made of ice! This afternoon check into our hotel with time to freshen up for the evening. Tonight, enjoy dinner followed by the Night Parade. Arrive at the  snow-covered streets to admire the parade of colorful performances and the star of the Carnival - Bonhomme himself! Hotel: Hilton Quebec, Quebec City, Quebec. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Sunday, February 12: Quebec City Tour, Chateau Frontenac Tour, Quebec Winter Carnival 

After breakfast, we'll meet our guide and depart for a tour of the city viewing many historic landmarks. Then experience Castle life on your guided tour of the iconic Chateau Frontenac hotel located on one of the most beautiful sites in Quebec City. Discover the famous characters and historical events that’s shaped the identity of the Fairmont Château Frontenac over the years, as well as its architectural development and rejuvenation process that its undergone in recent years. Following the tour, enjoy a lovely lunch together before setting off for the remainder of the day and evening to experience the Quebec Winter Carnival! Enjoy the magic of the Old City while participating in the many wonderful activities of the Carnival. Visit Bonhomme’s Ice Palace, witness Ice Canoe Racing on the St. Lawrence, view beautiful ice sculptures, enjoy live entertainment, heated terraces and so much more!    (Breakfast, Lunch)

Monday, February 13: Morning Leisure, Travel to Saratoga Springs 

After breakfast we'll enjoy a leisure morning in Quebec City before departing for Saratoga Springs, NY. This evening check into the hotel with time to freshen up before an included group dinner. Hotel: Hampton Inn & Suites,  Saratoga Springs downtown, NY.(Breakfast, Dinner) 

Tuesday, February 14: Travel to Central Pennsylvania

After breakfast depart for Central Pennsylvania with appropriate rest and meal stops en-route. (Breakfast)

Hotel and itinerary are subject to change at any time without notification and/or compensation.

Tour Activity Level: 3
This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

General Information

Travel Documents

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank Visa page for Visa stamp(s).  A government-issued photo I.D (such as a driver’s license) is required for this tour.

As of the writing of this brochure, all travelers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the last dose having been administered at least 14 days prior to departure to travel to Canada. Additional COVID-19 related requirements including pre-entry or return to U.S. testing may be required. As travel policies are rapidly changing due to COVID-19, final requirements will be communicated prior to departure. 

*Canada reserves the right to deny entry to anyone with a felony conviction, including a DUI record. AAA is not responsible if you are denied entry to Canada and no refund will be provided. 


$300 per person deposit due at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  December 9, 2022.


A $25 per person cancellation fee will be charged by Discoveries in addition to any other supplier’s fees. From  December 9, 2022 to day of departure no refunds.


For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.


Temperatures for Quebec in February average in the 20s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
