Itinerary
Tuesday, July 18: Depart for Denver
Depart by motorcoach to a local airport for a flight to Denver, CO. Transfer by private motorcoach from the airport to your luxury boutique hotel, the Thompson Denver. Centrally located in the heart of vibrant LoDo, Denver’s lower downtown area, it’s an easy walk to historic Union Station, Coors Field, the Ballpark District and the busy bars and restaurants of the Dairy Block. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day and evening on your own to explore the city. Hotel: Thompson Denver, Denver, CO
Wednesday, July 19: Rocky Mountaineer Train – Denver to Glenwood Springs
Transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer Station. Board the Rocky Mountaineer train for your journey from the vibrant city of Denver to the western resort town of Glenwood Springs. Cross the Continental Divide as you take in the spectacular views of rugged canyons and the Colorado River before arriving. Today's viewing highlights include Moffatt Tunnel, Big Ten Curve, Gross Reservoir Dam as well as Byers, Gore and Glenwood Canyons. Breakfast and lunch will be served onboard. Arrive into Glenwood Springs with plenty of time on your own for browsing the shops, dinner in a local restaurant and how about a geothermal soak in a hot springs pool surrounded by Rocky Mountain views that soothe and inspire? Your Glenwood Springs hotel will be just a short walk from the train station and your luggage will be delivered to you at the hotel. Hotel: TBD, Glenwood Springs, CO (Breakfast, Lunch)
Thursday, July 20: Rocky Mountaineer Train – Glenwood Springs to Moab
This morning board the Rocky Mountaineer train for a second day where you will continue your journey west across the Colorado-Utah border with stunning mountain views in the background. Red sandstone landscapes will emerge as you approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Today's viewing highlights include Parachute Creek, Mount Logan, Ruby Canyon, and Book Cliffs. Upon an early afternoon arrival, meet your local Tour Director and board a motorcoach for a scenic drive to Canyonlands National Park for sightseeing, including the Visitors Center, Mesa Arch and Grandview Point. Then enter Dead Horse Point State Park for one of the most spectacular scenes in the southwest. Return to Moab, check in to your hotel, and enjoy an included group dinner at a local restaurant. Friday, July 21: Arches National Park & Stargazing
Depart this morning for Arches National Park. The unique geology of this area created the highest concentration of natural arches in the world with over 2,000 named arches within the park boundary. You will visit the park’s highlights including Balance Rock, The Windows and Delicate Arch Viewpoint. Enjoy an afternoon on your own to experience Moab's quaint downtown village and choose from numerous restaurants for lunch and dinner. Later tonight, join the group for a private Stargazing Experience as you join local astronomers to explore the wonders of the night sky and our universe. (Breakfast)
Saturday, July 22: Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon National Park
Depart Moab by motorcoach for a full day sightseeing tour. Travel through the town of Green River and the San Rafael Swell on your way to Capitol Reef National Park for touring and an included lunch. Highlights this morning include a drive along Scenic Highway 12, one of America’s most spectacular roads, and incredible views of Capitol Reef and the Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument with its vast expanses of cream and rose colored Navajo sandstone. In the late afternoon, arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park, home to the largest collection of hoodoos in the world. Check into your hotel located just outside of this park. This evening, join the group for some wonderful western food and entertainment at Ebenezer’s Barn and Grill. Hotel: Best Western Plus Bryce Canyon Grand Hotel, Bryce, UT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Sunday, July 23: Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park
Return to Bryce Canyon National Park for a morning view. Then take a short drive to view Zion National Park, Utah's oldest and most famous national park, to see the towering mountains and red canyons. Later in the afternoon, arrive at the gateway town of Springdale and check in to your hotel. Dinner will be on your own to choose from a variety of local restaurants, and the rest of the evening is free for you to explore the local town. Monday, July 24: Zion National Park to Las Vegas
Return to Zion National Park for an additional sightseeing experience. Enjoy lunch together at a local restaurant before you arrive at your final destination, Las Vegas. The rest of the day is yours to explore and enjoy all that Las Vegas has to offer. Hotel: Treasure Island, Las Vegas, NV (Breakfast, Lunch )
Tuesday, July 25: Depart for Central PA
Transfer to the Harry Reid International Airport for your flight home and transportation back to Central PA.

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, upstairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Travel documents:

Payment:
A deposit of $650 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by May 4, 2023.
Cancellation Penalties:
Deposit date to day of departure $25 per person, plus....
From January 15 - May 18, 2023 $650 deposit per person plus any additional suppliers' fees
From May 19 - June 2, 2023 50% per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees
After June 2, 2023 100% non-refundable

Insurance:
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper
coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your
travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Flight:
Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airlines 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flight schedules may contain code share agreements.
Clothing/Climate:
The daily temperatures in the national parks in Utah for July average in the low 90s during the day with cooler evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work best. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and a small umbrella is recommended.
Baggage:
One suitcase per person with a maximum weight of 50 pounds is allowed for this tour. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. A small day pack is recommended while on the Rocky Mountaineer Train. Baggage fees are not included in the cost of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.
Travel Assistance:
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
