Visit the Indian Museum of North America, the Native American Cultural Center, the sculptor’s studio, orientation center and theaters. Continue to Mount Rushmore. A local guide shows you to the city, including where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane are buried. Enjoy free time before it’s your choice! Monday, May 17, 2021 Rapid City – Devils Tower National Monument, Wyoming - Rapid City
Get your bearings at the Geographic Center of the Nation, marking the middle of the US. Cross into Wyoming and view the first national monument - Devils Tower. Stand in awe before this lofty monolith, perhaps hike the 1.3 mile Tower Trail around the base. Although famous as the backdrop in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the tower is also sacred to many local tribes. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 – Depart for Central Pennsylvania
After breakfast, transfer to Rapid City Airport for your flight home and transportation to Central PA. (Breakfast)

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.
Temperatures for South Dakota in May average in the 50s with cooler mornings and evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work best and comfortable walking shoes.
One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
