Set sail on the Statue Cruises Ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island for a guided tour with a licensed New York City tour guide. The views of the Statue from the water are breathtaking and reminiscent of what immigrants first saw entering New York Harbor. You will have free time for lunch and a voucher will be provided to purchase food from either the Crown Café or the Ellis Café.
Following our tour of Ellis Island the ferry will take us to Manhattan for a guided walking tour of New York City en route to the National 9/11 Memorial. You will have free time to reflect at the Memorial, before entering the Memorial Museum for a self guided tour. Examine authentic artifacts to understand what happened on 9/11, how people responded in the aftermath of the attacks, and the history and rebuilding of the World Trade Center.
5:00AM: Motorcoach will depart HACC’s Lancaster Campus, located 1641 Old Philadelphia Pike.
6:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from HACC’s Harrisburg Campus located One HACC Drive, Harrisburg; travel to Liberty State Park with a rest stop en route.
6:30PM: Approximate departure time for Central Pennsylvania with a fast food dinner stop en route.
10:00PM: Approximate arrival time back in Harrisburg.
11:00PM: Approximate arrival time back in Lancaster.
Tour Activity Level: 3
This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.
Full payment of $259 per person is due to AAA with this registration to confirm your reservation.
Day of payment to day of departure: No refunds.
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Temperatures for New York in April average in the 60s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.
Security - Visitors to Liberty State Park are required to submit to airport style security screening before boarding vessels departing from Battery Park and Liberty State Park. Visitors to the Monument undergo additional security screening. All persons and property are subject to search on Liberty Island. All items considered inappropriate or prohibited will be confiscated and retained by the United States Park Police. Large bags are not allowed on Liberty Island or Ellis Island. There are no locker facilities at the New York and New Jersey embarkation points. Backpacks, strollers and large umbrellas are not permitted in the Monument. Food (even unopened) and drinks (including water) are not allowed inside the Statue
of Liberty. All weapons are prohibited, including: Firearms, explosives or flammables, knives or sharp objects (including tools), pepper spray and mace. Security is managed by the United States Park Police.
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.

By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Traveler’s acceptance and retention of tickets, reservations, or bookings after issuance shall constitute a consent of the above, and an agreement on his/her part to convey the contents hereto to his/her travel companions or group members.
