Saturday, June 26: Travel to Coastal Maine
5:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from Lancaster, AC Moore store located in Lancaster Shopping Center on the Oregon Pike/ Route 272 side of the store.
6:00AM: Depart from Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn, 2301 Paxton Church Rd; travel to Maine with appropriate rest and meal stops enroute.
Early evening arrival to the charming seaside village of Ogunquit, named by the Abenaki Indians meaning, “beautiful place by the sea”. Enjoy a refreshing welcome reception followed by some time to relax and freshen up before an included dinner. Hotel: Juniper Hill Inn, Ogunquit, ME. (Dinner)
Sunday, June 27: Kennebunkport, Portland & Boothbay Harbor
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart with our guide for a tour of the popular summer resort of Kennebunkport. Enjoy a scenic drive along the ocean to Walker’s Point passing the well-known summer home of former President George H.W. Bush. Continue to Portland for a photo stop of the Portland Head Light, which was commissioned by George Washington and is one of the oldest continuously operating lights in the country. Tour through the Old Port Exchange, which was the heart of Portland’s busy 19th century commercial ventures and continues to be the center of activity today. Check into the hotel, a beautiful Oceanside resort with time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Tonight, we’ll gather for a delicious dinner together. Monday, June 28: Windjammer Days Festival & Harbor Cruise
After breakfast, the morning will be at your leisure to enjoy the amenities and magnificent views of the ocean. We will arrive in the early afternoon at the harborfront to partake in the Windjammer Festival. Then we’ll depart on an exciting cruise out into the harbor to view the Windjammers. Each of these vessels is a piece of living history and their entrance into the harbor is a treasured and historic event. Following the cruise, enjoy time on your own to view and participate in the many wonderful festivities this event has to offer. (Breakfast)
Tuesday, June 29: Coastal Maine, Camden Windjammer Cruise & Bar Harbor
After breakfast we’ll check into the hotel and depart for a day of touring through the pretty coastal towns of Rockland, Thomaston, Rockport and Camden! We’ll set sail on our very own Windjammer Cruise aboard the elegant Appledore II a two-masted 86’ windjammer. Enjoy views of the beautiful coastline, historic inns, and elegant summer mansions of the rich and famous. Journey to the top of Mount Battie for magnificent views of Camden Harbor. This afternoon arrive at Mount Desert Island and check into the hotel with time to relax and freshen up before dinner at one of Bar Harbor’s fine restaurants. Hotel: Bluenose Inn, Bar Harbor, ME. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Wednesday, June 30: Acadia National Park & Whale Watch Cruise
After breakfast, depart for a tour through one of America’s beautiful and treasured National Parks, Acadia National Park. Visit Thunder Hole along with other scenic picture stops. Travel to the top of Cadillac Mountain for spectacular views of Frenchman’s Bay, Porcupine Islands and Bar Harbor. This afternoon, embark on an exciting Whale Watch Cruise, departing from Frenchman’s Bay. Be sure to have your camera ready when you witness these magnificent mammals feed and frolic in their ocean playground. The remainder of the day is on your own to have dinner and explore the village of Bar Harbor. (Breakfast)
Thursday, July 1: Freeport, Portsmouth & York
After breakfast we’ll depart the hotel and head south to the charming town of Freeport for a visit to the world-famous LL Bean store. Then we’ll continue to the historic seaside town of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This vibrant coastal city is rich with history and referred to as "one of the most culturally rich destinations in the country". It is a working seaport with unique locally owned shops and restaurants, world class culture, and vibrant nightlife. This afternoon, we’ll check into the hotel with time to freshen up before a tour through the village of York with a picture stop to one of the most photographed lighthouses in the country – the Cape Neddick Lighthouse, more popularly known as “the Nubble”. Tonight, enjoy a traditional Lobsterbake dinner at one of the area’s great restaurants. Hotel: Hampton Inn & Suites, Kittery, ME (Breakfast, Dinner)
Friday, July 2: Depart for Central Pennsylvania
After breakfast we’ll depart for Central Pennsylvania with appropriate rest and meal stops enroute.(Breakfast)

This tour requires average physical activity. You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distance, possibly over uneven grounds and cobblestone streets.

A $25 per person cancellation fee will be charged by Discoveries in addition to any other supplier’s fees. From April 20, 2021 to day of departure no refunds.
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Temperatures for Maine in June average in the 70s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
