These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern AAA membership with AAA Central Penn (“AAA”). By purchasing, renewing, or using a AAA membership, you agree to these Terms. These Terms provide a general overview of membership rules, benefits, and limitations.
Member Snapshot (Key Points)
- Membership covers the individual member, not the vehicle.
- Members are eligible for up to four (4) roadside assistance calls per membership year.
- Benefits, limits, and coverage vary by membership level.
- Certain services may have fees, exclusions, or waiting periods.
- Membership must be active and in good standing to access benefits.
1. Membership Eligibility and Coverage
Membership is issued to an individual and is non-transferable. Benefits apply to the named member rather than a specific vehicle. Primary Members may add Associate Members residing in the same household. Each individual must maintain their own membership to access benefits.
2. Membership Levels
AAA offers multiple membership levels, including Everyday, Classic, Plus, and Premier. Each level provides varying levels of service, including differences in roadside assistance, towing mileage, and additional benefits.
3. Term and Renewal
Membership is valid for a 12-month term and is billed annually in advance of the expiration date or a 12-month term billed monthly. Failure to renew prior to expiration may result in a lapse of benefits, loss of loyalty tenure.
4. Automatic Renewal
Members may enroll in automatic renewal using an authorized payment method. AAA will provide advance notice prior to processing renewal charges.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
One Time Payment: Membership may be canceled within thirty (30) days of enrollment for a refund of dues, less any application or enrollment fees and the cost of services used. After thirty (30) days, refunds may be prorated based on the remaining term and services utilized.
Monthly Payment Plan: Members may cancel within the first 30 days of enrollment; however, they remain responsible for any enrollment fee, monthly dues billed, and any roadside assistance or other club services used during that period.
6. Termination and Non-Renewal
AAA reserves the right to suspend, limit, refuse renewal, or terminate membership at its discretion, including but not limited to misuse of services, excessive usage, or inappropriate conduct.
7. Roadside Assistance Services
Roadside Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for eligible vehicles that become disabled. Services may include towing, battery service, flat tire service, fuel delivery, lockout assistance, and minor mechanical adjustments. Service availability and limits vary by membership level.
8. Service Limits
Roadside Assistance is limited to four (4) service calls per membership year per member, including both Primary and Associate Members. Additional services beyond this limit may be provided at the member’s expense.
9. Eligible Vehicles
Coverage generally applies to passenger vehicles and certain recreational vehicles where applicable. Service will only be provided when it can be safely delivered under the circumstances.
10. Exclusions and Limitations
Services are subject to limitations and may not be provided in certain circumstances, including unsafe conditions, inaccessible locations, severe weather events, vehicles not operable prior to disablement, or vehicles used for commercial purposes. AAA does not provide services intended to replace routine maintenance.
11. Member Responsibilities
Members must be present with the vehicle at the time of service and provide valid membership identification and proof of identity. Members are responsible for maintaining their vehicles in safe operating condition and for canceling service requests if no longer needed.
12. Reimbursement
If AAA service is unavailable, reimbursement for covered services may be requested. Members must submit required documentation, including itemized receipts, within required timeframes. Reimbursement is limited to the amount AAA would have paid for the service.
13. Modifications to Benefits
AAA reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any membership benefit, service, or program at any time without notice.
14. Travel and Additional Services
Travel, insurance, financial, and other services are subject to separate terms, conditions, exclusions, and limitations and may vary by product or service.
15. Privacy
AAA collects and uses member information for the purposes of providing services, processing transactions, and communicating relevant information.
