Located on the scenic shores of the Sydney Harbour, the city blends maritime heritage with modern amenities. It’s known for its warm hospitality, Celtic music traditions, and vibrant waterfront.

Located on the shores of the world’s second-largest natural harbor, the “City of Trees” adds to the pastoral beauty of Canada’s maritime region. An extensive network of walking trails extends from the waterfront out to a series of beautiful parks and vibrant gardens, inviting exploration.

  • Explore the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s extensive collection, with over 2,000 permanent works.
  • Explore the hilltop fortress and the Citadel, and stroll through the beautiful Victorian-style public gardens.
  • Relax on a drive through the beautiful Nova Scotian countryside to the moody, weathered village of Peggy’s Cove. Walk along the rocks to view the craggy coastline with its bold glacier-formed outcroppings of granite and its impressive lighthouse. The vibrant capital of Newfoundland and Labrador and one of North America’s oldest cities, known for its colorful row houses, rugged coastal scenery, and rich maritime heritage. Nestled on the eastern edge of the continent, it offers dramatic ocean views, historic sites, and a lively arts and music scene.

  • Signal Hill National Historic Site- Climb up to Cabot Tower, where Marconi received the first transatlantic wireless signal in 1901. Explore historic military fortifications, hike scenic trails (like North Head Trail), and enjoy panoramic views of St. John’s Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean.
  • The Rooms- A combined museum, art gallery, and archives, located on historic Fort Townshend grounds. Offers interactive exhibits on Newfoundland & Labrador’s culture, history, and stunning harbor views.

Monday, June 28, 2027 - Qaqortoq, Greenland

The largest town in southern Greenland, serving as the cultural and commercial hub of the Kujalleq municipality. Nestled on a hillside overlooking Julianehåb Bay, it is home to approximately 3,055 people.

FUN THINGS TO DO:

  • Hvalsey Church Ruins- The best-preserved Norse ruin in Greenland, dating back to the 12th century. Part of the Kujataa UNESCO World Heritage Site, located about 19 km from Qaqortoq.
  • Stone & Man Sculpture Project-An open-air art gallery featuring dozens of stone carvings by Greenlandic and Nordic artists scattered throughout the town.
  • Church of Our Saviour- A striking red wooden Lutheran church built in 1832, located near the harbor.
  • Memorial Fountain- Greenland’s oldest fountain, located in the town square, inscribed with residents’ names.
  • Uunartoq Hot Springs- Natural geothermal pools on a nearby island, perfect for a relaxing soak with scenic views.

Tuesday, June 29, 2027 - Prins Christian Sund (Cruising)

The Sund is a narrow passage (about 100 km long) cutting through southern Greenland. Surrounded by towering mountains, sheer cliffs, and glaciers that descend into the water. Often dotted with floating icebergs and sea ice, creating dramatic Arctic views. Numerous tidewater glaciers spill into the fjord. Icebergs of all shapes and sizes drift along the route—perfect for photography. Tiny settlements like Aappilattoq appear along the way, offering a glimpse of traditional Greenlandic life. Colorful houses stand out against the stark mountain backdrop.  Keep an eye out for seals, seabirds, and occasionally whales in the icy waters. Arctic flora clings to rocky slopes in summer.  Waterfalls cascade down steep cliffs, adding to the scenery.

The largest town in the Westfjords region of Iceland, nestled on a narrow spit of land surrounded by steep mountains and dramatic fjords. Known for its stunning natural beauty and rich maritime heritage, it serves as a gateway to some of Iceland’s most remote and scenic landscapes.

  • Historic Town Center- Charming streets lined with colorful 18th- and 19th-century wooden houses. Reflects Ísafjörður’s heritage as a major fishing and trading hub.

Friday, July 2, 2027 - Reykjavik, Iceland

The world’s northernmost capital, is a vibrant city that blends modern Nordic culture with stunning natural surroundings. Located on the southwestern coast of Iceland, it overlooks Faxaflói Bay and is framed by mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. Despite its small size, Reykjavík is the cultural, economic, and political heart of Iceland.

March 23 – April 6, 2027: 25% of gross fare per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees
April 7 – April 20, 2027: 50% of gross fare per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees
April 21 – May 20, 2027: 75% of gross fare per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees
After May 20, 2027: Non-refundable

Activity Level

Moderate- Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Assistance

For person comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.

Do I need a passport?

Yes, an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s). At the time of the printing of this brochure all guests are required to obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) Travel authorization for travel to Europe’s Schengen Zone (not included in the price of the trip).

When should I book shore excursions?

Your AAA Travel Advisor is happy to help reserve your choice of shore excursions. It’s best to book them as soon as possible as they can sell out.

How many bags can I bring?

One suitcase per person will be allowed by the cruise line and motorcoach. You may also bring a small carry-on bag.

Do I need travel insurance?

For your protection AAA highly recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage only if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit. Other conditions may apply; ask your Travel Advisor. AAA recommends Allianz Insurance.

What will the weather be like?

Average temperatures in Canada in June during the day range from High 60s-70s, with cooler evenings in the 50s.  Greenland & Canada during the daytime ranges from Low 40s-60s, with evenings ranging from low 30s-mid 40s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Evenings require smart casual or semiformal attire, with two evening chic nights onboard.
