Saturday, October 2, 2027 - Boston, Massachusetts

Arrive 8:00am – Departing 6:00pm

Boston, the capital of Massachusetts, is one of the most historic cities in North America and home to many of the USA’s leading universities, including world-renowned Harvard in neighboring Cambridge. The abundance of historical sights, first-class museums and opportunities to take in a cross-section of cultural activities, music, art, theater and more explain why Boston is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations.

FUN THINGS TO DO:

  • View the Public Garden, the first botanical gardens in the country, an oasis in the heart of the city, The garden is home to a majestic monument of George Washington and the famous swan boats, which grace the waters of the lagoon.
  • Browse Newbury Street, an eclectic collection of 19th-century brownstones, upscale boutiques, sidewalk cafes and trendy galleries line this enchanting street, situated in the historic Back Bay section of the city.
  • Follow the Freedom Trail. Begin at Boston Common and follow in the footsteps of our forefathers on this 2.5-mile trail delineated by red bricks, highlighting 16 of Boston’s most historical sites from the American Revolution.

 

Sunday, October 3, 2027 - Portland, Maine

Arrive at 7:00am – Departing 3:00pm

While Portland’s name has changed over the years, the essence of the area has not. Today, Portland still remains a vibrant fishing and commercial port, Maine’s largest city, and its cultural, social and economic capital.

FUN THINGS TO DO:

  • Explore Old Port with its brick sidewalks and cobblestone streets to the quaint seaside village of Kennebunkport. Shoppers will enjoy the Old Port and downtown area that feature many unique boutiques, shops, galleries and restaurants.
  • Visit Victorian Mansion, one of the finest examples of Italian villa style architecture in the country. The mansion was built between 1858 and 1860. Other city sights you’ll see are the Portland Observatory, Portland’s 100-year-old City Hall, and the stunning Victorian homes that line the Eastern Promenade.
  • Enjoy the Portland Head Lighthouse and the picturesque White Mountains on the Cog Railway.

Monday, October 4, 2027 - Saint John, New Brunswick (Bay of Fundy)

Saint John lies on the Bay of Fundy, which boasts the highest tides in the world and the astonishing Reversing Rapids, caused when the tides change and the river is forced to reverse direction and flow upstream. Located on the shores of the world’s second-largest natural harbor, the “City of Trees” adds to the pastoral beauty of Canada’s maritime region. An extensive network of walking trails extends from the waterfront out to a series of beautiful parks and vibrant gardens, inviting exploration.

  • Explore the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia’s extensive collection, with over 2,000 permanent works.
  • Explore the hilltop fortress and the Citadel, and stroll through the beautiful Victorian-style public gardens.

Thursday, October 7, 2027 - Sydney, Nova Scotia

All non-members must add $60 to the above rate. Rates are subject to availability at time of booking and include taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges which are subject to change.  All pricing and included features are based on a minimum of 25 full fare passengers. Desired pick-up location is not guaranteed until passenger minimums are met.

The rates listed above include the following which are subject to change: Required Cruise Fees and Expenses of $250 per person double occupancy ($500 single occupancy) and Government Taxes and Fees of $263.08

Deposit of $250 per person/$500 per cabin will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  June 18, 2027.

Cancellation / Penalties

Activity Level:

Comfortable- This trip may include walking tours of up to two hours in length typically on level terrains. May include early morning departures or late night returns. Climbing multiple flights of stairs, standing for short periods of time, along with moderate altitudes may be necessary.

Travel Assistance:

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.

What Travel Documents Do I Need?

U.S. citizens on homeport cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port) are currently able to enter or depart the country with a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and government-issued photo ID. AAA recommends traveling with an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s).

*Canada reserves the right to deny entry to anyone with a felony conviction, including a DUI record. AAA is not responsible if you are denied entry to Canada and no refund will be provided.

Do I need Travel Insurance?

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

When Should I book Excursions?

What will the weather be like?

Average temperatures for Canada and New England in October range from the mid 40s to low 60s. Pack for a variety of temperatures; layers are suggested. Daytime, casual clothes that are designed for cooler climates, as well as comfortable walking shoes are recommended. For cruising, evenings require casual or semi-formal attire, with two formal nights.

How Many Bags May I Bring?

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a small carry on bag.
