AAA Backpack Program

Since 2022, AAA Central Penn and Partner Organizations Fill Backpacks for Local Children in Need

AAA Central Penn wants to make sure that local children have what they need to be successful. That’s why AAA, through its AAA Cares community volunteer program, has partnered with a dozen other Central Pennsylvania organizations for its forth annual AAA Cares Backpack Program in 2025. The program has already provided over 3,300 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in all nine counties that AAA Central Penn serves including Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, and Perry.

Thanks to the support of AAA Central Penn and community partners, AAA Central Penn will donate an additional 2,000 backpacks in 2025. Students not only receive backpacks, but also the important tools that are needed to stay organized, like three-ring binders, folders, notebooks, highlighters, and MORE. With caregivers expected to spend $890 per child in grades K-12 on back-to-school supplies, according to National Retail Federation, every bit of support for children in need can help. Assembly lines will be setup for team members to come together and support the program.

In 2025, the school supply sponsors are LeTort Trust, AAA Insurance Agency, Donegal Insurance, Omega Systems, McConkey Insurance and Benefits, AAA Financial Services, URL Insurance Group, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Santander, Progressive, Higher Information Group, JPL/ d’vinci, PRworks, Shenk Company, and Fairfield Auto Services, LLC. This list will be updated with any new 2025 sponsors.

Benefitting organizations include, the Mix, Crispus Attucks Community Center, Sylvan Heights Science Center, Nativity School, The Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg, Dream Builders Foundation, Black Think Tank Community, Breadcoin Foundation, Lower Dauphin Communities that Care, New Hope Ministries, Project Share, Lebanon School District, Eastern Lebanon County School District, Cornwall-Lebanon School District, Palmyra School District, Warwick School District, and local communities events.

$10,000 Backpack Sponsorship

Major Supply Sponsorship

$3,000 or Provide AAA with a Major Supply

• Major Supplies include: Binders, Notebooks, Journals, Folders, Highlighters, Pencil Sharpeners, Colored Pencils, and Markers. The minimum quantity required is 2,000.
• Supply choice is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Logo recognition on AAA Cares Website and Media Releases.
• Mention in the Club Publication, social media, and email newsletter.

Small Supply Sponsorship

$2,000 or Provide AAA with a Small Supply

• Small Supplies include Pencils, Erasers, Post-it Notes, Scratch Pads, Crayon Packs, Rulers, Tablets, and Pens. The minimum quantity required is 2,000.
• Supply choice is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
