Your journey begins with a motorcoach transfer from Central Penn to a local international airport for an overnight flight* to London, England.

Saturday, July 17, 2027 - Journey to Stratford-upon-Avon and on to Leeds

Join your Travel Director this morning and indulge your love of theater and poetry. Travel to romantic Stratford-upon-Avon, made famous by William Shakespeare. View Anne Hathaway’s thatched cottage and visit Shakespeare’s Birthplace and Visitor Center for insights into the life of the ‘Bard of Avon’. Continue to the city of York where you’ll enjoy a walk to view its ancient city walls, picturesque Shambles and magnificent 800-year-old Minster. Single occupancy is limited and subject to availability.

All non-members must add $60 to the above rates. Single occupancy rooms are extremely limited and subject to availability. Rates are subject to availability at time of booking. All pricing and included features are based on a minimum of 25 full-fare passengers. Desired pick-up location is not guaranteed until passenger minimums are met. Book by  February 16, 2027 to secure your space.

Payment Schedule

Deposit of $200 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  April 2, 2027.

Cancellation/Penalties

From Day of Deposit – April 2, 2027    Loss of $200 per person.
From April 3 – May 17, 2027                   30% cancellation penalty per person
From May 18 – June 30, 2027                60% cancellation penalty per person
From June 31 – July 8, 2027                  90% cancellation penalty per person
After July 8, 2027                                    100% Non-Refundable

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airlines(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.

Activity Level

Moderate – Good mobility is required for this trip.  Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary.  Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes.  The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length.  This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Assistance

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a passport? What about travel visas?

Yes, an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s) is required for this trip. All travelers visiting or transiting through the United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) are required to obtain a UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization).  Please note that the UK ETA is not included in the cost of your trip, and it is the responsibility of each traveler to secure this authorization prior to departure. Please see your Travel Advisor for additional information.   

Do I need travel insurance?

For your protection AAA highly recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage only if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit. Other conditions may apply; ask your Travel Advisor. AAA recommends Allianz Insurance. 

How many bags can I bring? What will the weather be like?

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a small carry-on bag. Average temperatures in Britain for July average in the 60s-70s, possibly into the 80s during the day and 50s-60s in the evenings. Casual clothes that can be layered work best. Comfortable walking shoes and a small umbrella are recommended.
