Arrive in the town of Innsbruck, in the heart of the mountains. The day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, and in the evening take in a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers. Hotel: Hotel Grauer Bar, Innsbruck (Dinner)

Wednesday, December 9, 2026: Innsbruck - Seefeld- Innsbruck

In the morning, it’s your choice! choose between a locally guided tour of Innsbruck, OR a visit to the Museum of Tyrolean Regional Heritage. Then, take a train to the village of Seefeld, where you’ll take an authentic horse-drawn carriage into town, and participate in the making and eating of traditional strudel. Thursday, December 10, 2026: Innsbruck - Salzburg - Innsbruck

Journey to the Old Town of Salzburg**, famous for the birthplace of Mozart and the “Do-Re-Mi steps” from The Sound of Music. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore the town, and visit any of the six local Christmas Markets. In the afternoon, visit St. Peter Stiftkulinarium, the oldest continuously-serving restaurant in Europe. Friday, December 11, 2026: Innsbruck

Saturday, December 12, 2026: Innsbruck - Oberammergau, Germany - Innsbruck

Tour Linderhof Palace, the only palace that King Ludwig II lived to see completed. Walk the halls with an expert guide, and take in royal luxury. Sunday, December 13, 2026: Innsbruck - Munich, Germany

Return to Munich, where you can see the Glockenspiel***, with life sized figurines spinning and dancing. Then enjoy free time in the city, where you can visit one of Europe’s largest Christmas Markets. Afterward, join a local guide on a tour of Munich, seeing sites such as the Royal Square and Parliament Building, before ending your day with a farewell dinner. Your tour ends today with a flight home from Munich to a local international airport.

Rates are subject to availability at time of booking and include taxes, fees, and fuel surcharges, which are subject to change. All pricing and included features are based on a minimum of 30 passengers.

A deposit of $698 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  August 25, 2026.

Cancellation Penalties

April 8 to September 7, 2026                          $698 per person plus applicable supplier fees

September 8 to November 21, 2026               40% per person plus applicable supplier fees

November 22 to December 6, 2026                75% per person plus applicable supplier fees

After December 7, 2026                                  Non-refundable

Tour Activity Level: 3

Moderate: Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing for those needing assistance.

What travel documents do I need?

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank Visa page for Visa stamp(s) is required for this trip.

As of the printing of this brochure all guests are required to obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) travel authorization for travel to Europe’s Schengen zone (not included in the price of the trip). Please see your Travel Advisor for additional information.

Do I need travel insurance?

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions my apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

Where will my seat be on the plane?

Air Schedule will be shared once available. Group air schedule is in economy class. Seat assignments are controlled by the airline. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Air upgrades may be available and are by request only and are not guaranteed. Air upgrade requests may not be on the same flight schedule as the rest of the group and must be requested at the time of the initial deposit.

How many bags can I bring?

Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17″x14″x4″ with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.

What will the weather be like?

Temperatures in Austria and Germany in December average 32 degrees during the day, and below freezing at night. Frequent snowfall occurs in this region. Warm, layered clothing and appropriate footwear is recommended.
