Tuesday, November 24 - Central PA - New York City

Depart Central PA by motorcoach and travel to New York City, with appropriate rest and meal stops en route.

*Early Morning departure – exact timing will be confirmed closer to travel.

Check in at your iconic hotel, and take your time settling in before a welcome dinner with your fellow travelers. Hotel: Hotel Edison, Midtown Manhattan (Dinner)

Wednesday, November 25 - New York City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit Battery Park, and board a ferry for a journey to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Then, on your return to the city, visit the 9/11 Memorial’s twin reflecting pools. After this powerful morning, join a local guide for a sightseeing tour of the city’s iconic neighborhoods an landmarks, from Wall Street to Greenwich Village, Chinatown, Madison Square, and the unforgettable Times Square. Thursday, November 26 - Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Take breakfast to-go today as you meet your local guide and settle into a designated viewing area*, to start your day with the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Enjoy the balloons, floats, musical performances, and marching bands in this great American tradition. Afterward, enjoy some free time to yourself, before boarding a Thanksgiving Day Lunch Cruise. Take in the skyline views of Manhattan as you enjoy your meal! Then, visit Times Square and ascend to Top of the Rock, where you will have spectacular panoramic views of New York City from the Rockefeller Center Observation Deck. Hotel: Hotel Edison, Midtown Manhattan (Breakfast, Lunch)

*There is no reserved seating along the parade route. Individuals are permitted to bring blankets or travel chairs to sit on.

Friday, November 27 - Rockettes Christmas Spectacular

Take in a festive morning at your leisure after hotel breakfast, with time to explore some of the city’s most famous sights, such as Central Park or Fifth Avenue. Then in the afternoon, settle in for a holiday performance of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular starring the Rockettes. In the evening, get together for a final dinner to celebrate your holiday vacation.

Saturday, November 28 - New York City - Central PA

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out and returning home via motorcoach at the end of your tour.

Tour Activity Level: 3

Moderate: Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Assistance

What travel documents do I need?

A valid government issued photo ID such as a driver’s license is required for this trip.

As travel policies are rapidly changing, final requirements will be communicated prior to departure.

Do I need travel insurance?

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

What will the weather be like?

New York City temperatures this time of year can range from the low-30s to mid-50s. Winds can be high, and snow is a possible occurrence. Please bring appropriately layered clothing and comfortable walking shoes.

How many bags can I bring?

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat.
