Sunday, August 29, 2027 - Flight to Grand Junction

Transfer by motorcoach to a local airport for a flight to Grand Junction, Colorado. Relax after your arrival or explore on your own before joining your Tour Director this evening for a welcome dinner. Hotel: Wine Country Inn, Grand Junction (Dinner)

Monday, August 30, 2027 - Moab, Utah

Head to Dead Horse Point State Park to reach great heights with stellar views. Next up at Canyonlands National Park, see first-hand the power of the Colorado River carving its way through the rocky red landscape. Ascend to the top of the Island in the Sky Mesa and admire Canyonlands’ spectacular landscape below. You can choose to continue further on foot with a two-mile hike to Grandview Point Overlook where, standing at the “edge of the world,” you’ll be greeted with desert vistas for hundreds of miles. Continue to Green River Overlook for another incredible vista. Hotel: Hyatt Place Moab (Breakfast, Lunch)

Tuesday, August 31, 2027 - Arches National Park in Grand County, Utah

After breakfast, you’ll head to Arches National Park. Learn how Mother Nature’s magic touch has left her indelible mark with wind and rain when you view Delicate Arch. Continue your exploration with a walk to Double Arch, Landscape Arch or Turret Arch. Take break this afternoon or explore the town of Moab at your leisure. Hotel: Hyatt Place Moab (Breakfast)

Wednesday, September 1, 2027 - Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

Following breakfast, see the hoodoos of Goblin Valley State Park. These mushroom-shaped rock pinnacles referred to locally as “goblins” make for memorable photo opportunities before you arrive at Capitol Reef National Park. Explore the area down through the canyons or up to the overlooks in sections of the park including Sulfur Creek, Cohab Canyon, Hickman Bridge, Rim Overlook. In the evening, enjoy the rustic charm of the Capitol Reef Resort, located on the edge of the park, offering truly spectacular landscapes and breath-taking views. Thursday, September 2, 2027 - Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

Unlock the best of Capitol Reef National Park, where colorful canyons and capitol-shaped domes provide the perfect backdrop for an adventure, with the option to hike on your
own. Continue your journey along an “All American Road”, Highway 12, one of America’s most scenic highways, before arriving in Kodachrome Basin State Park. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the Visitor Center and see unique sandstone spires and columns known as “sand pipes,” formations. Hotel: Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn (Breakfast)

Friday, September 3, 2027 - Bryce Canyon, Utah

Today, you’ll have a full free day to relax or explore the landscapes of Bryce Canyon National Park. Admire the rusty red limestone spires that rise up to meet Utah’s skies from scenic viewpoints or follow one of the many trails into the hoodoos and beyond. Or choose to blaze your own trail on a one-hour horseback ride in the Dixie National Forest. Hotel: Best Western Plus Ruby’s Inn (Breakfast)

Saturday, September 4, 2027 - Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell, Arizona

A pink, red and orange canvas awaits visitors at Coral Pink Sands State Park. Embrace today’s MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience as you explore Antelope Canyon in Navajo Tribal Park. The local Diné (Navajo) guides will explain how slot canyons are formed and take a short hike to see Horseshoe Bend and the flowing Colorado River which has carved its way through the red-colored sandstone. Finish the day connecting over a Be My Guest meal on the Navajo Nation, hosted by Dine tribe local Baya, her husband Paul and storyteller Eli Secody. Monday, September 6, 2027 - Zion National Park

Arrive at Zion National Park in the late morning, then enjoy lunch at Zion Lodge before selecting from many fantastic hikes ranging from easy to strenuous including Watchman Trail, Kayenta Trail, or Riverside Walk. Or, opt to take it easy and sightsee at your leisure using the complimentary Zion National Park shuttles. The rest of the evening is at leisure. Tuesday, September 7, 2027 - Depart to Las Vegas, Nevada for flight home to Central, PA

This morning, wake up early and watch the sunrise over Zion National Park and perhaps take one last leisurely stroll taking in the views before departing for the airport in Las Vegas, Nevada and return to Central, PA (Breakfast)

All non-members must add $60 to the above rates. Single occupancy rooms are extremely limited and subject to availability. Rates are subject to availability at time of booking. All pricing and included features are based on a minimum of 25 full-fare passengers. Desired pick-up location is not guaranteed until passenger minimums are met. Book by  March 31, 2027 to secure your space.

Deposit of $200 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  May 14, 2027.

Cancellation/Penalties

From November 20, 2026 – May 14, 2027    Loss of $200 per person.
From May 15 – June 30, 2027                          30% cancellation penalty per person plus any additional suppliers’ fees
From July 1- August 13, 2027                          60% cancellation penalty per person plus any additional suppliers’ fees
From August 14 – August 21, 2027                 90% cancellation penalty per person plus any additional suppliers’ fees
After August 21, 2027                                        100% Non-Refundable

Activity Level

Active- This is a fast-paced trip with longer days and shorter periods of time to rest. Longer walking tours up to 3-5 hours in length and over 10,000 steps along varied types of terrain are typical. High altitude destinations and moderate temperatures may be featured. This trip can include frequent physically challenging activities. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with serious medical conditions.

What Travel Documents Do I Need?

A valid government issued REAL ID or passport will be required for airport security. For the most current requirements please consult with your Travel Advisor.

Do I Need Travel Insurance?

For your protection AAA highly recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage only if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit. Other conditions may apply; ask your Travel Advisor. AAA recommends Allianz Insurance.

How Many Bags Can I Bring? What Will the Weather Be Like?

1 suitcase per person will be allowed for the trip. You may also bring a small carry-on bag. Temperatures for Utah in September average in the mid 60s to low 90s with cooler mornings and evenings depending on the area. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather. It is recommended to bring a flashlight for use in the National Parks. Lighting is often limited on the walking paths at night.
