In-Car Driving Assessments
If you've had repeated close calls on the road, and are concerned that your driving skills may have diminished, or you were given a recommendation to take a driving skills evaluation by a physician, occupational therapist or family member, then you need to sign up for our Assessment Program for Mature Operators.
Our professional, state-certified instructors conduct in-car assessments to help you identify any weaknesses in driving skills to determine what you can do to reduce your driving risk.
Each Assessment lasts 1.5 hours during which the instructor observes your driving skills in:
- Country driving
- City driving
- Highway driving
A confidential, written report will be mailed to you within about 3 days containing objective recommendations. With your permission, we can also send a copy of this report to whomever else you designate (i.e., doctor, occupational therapist, family member, etc.).

To register for an Assessment, please download and print this DRIVING ASSESSMENT ENROLLMENT FORM. Send the completed form, along with full payment, to the AAA Driving School to start the enrollment process. A Driving School representative will contact you as soon as possible after your enrollment has been processed to schedule your Assessment.
