Itinerary
Monday, Dec 29: Depart for Southern California
Transfer from Central PA to a local airport for your flight to beautiful Southern California. Upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel for a four-night stay. After settling in, join your group for a dinner at the hotel. (Dinner) Hotel: Hilton Orange County, Costa Mesa (or similar)
Tuesday, Dec 30: Float Decorating - Studio Tour
After breakfast, join the group to see the finishing touches being put on the Tournament of Roses Parade Floats before you head down Colorado Blvd. Next, you're in for a treat for lunch. Enjoy a delicious three-course luncheon at the famous Lawry's The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills. Following lunch experience a tour of a working Hollywood Studio. The evening is at your leisure at South Coast Plaza. With more than 35 distinct eateries from award-winning restaurants to grab and go options, this shopping center offers a wide variety for every palate. Shuttle service will be provided. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Wednesday, Dec 31: Catalina Island - New Year's Eve Party
After a buffet breakfast, board one of the Catalina Express ferries for a short one-hour cruise to the island. These vessels offer both inside and outside seating, as well as a snack bar and restroom facilities onboard for your comfort. You’ll log some 26 miles as you sail along the Pacific Ocean over to Catalina Island. Once you arrive, the day is yours to get acquainted with the storybook town of Avalon, which you’ll find is packed with boutiques, restaurants, and things to do! You might want to take a tour of the historic Casino, take a guided tour of Avalon, or rent a golf cart or bicycle to sightsee on your own this afternoon.
Tonight, join the group for a New Year's Eve Gala Celebration. The evening will be filled with elegant dining, dancing to a live band and the fun of a live "Monte Carlo" style casino. There will be hats and party favors, a drawing for exciting prizes and a champagne toast to ring in 2026! (Breakfast, Dinner)
Thursday, Jan 1: Rose Parade - BBQ - Afternoon Entertainment
After an early morning breakfast at the hotel, travel to Pasadena and your reserved premium grandstand seating for the 136th Tournament of Roses Parade will be waiting*. Watch the parade make its way down Colorado Boulevard with your souvenir program and blanket. After the parade, return to the hotel for a special Southern California Backyard BBQ. You will have free time on your own. This afternoon, join us in the ballroom for an exclusive performance. (Breakfast, Lunch)
*Tickets and transportation to the Rose Bowl Game are available for an additional fee.
Friday, Jan 2: Floatfest - Journey Home
After breakfast, say farewell to new friends as you transfer to the Los Angeles International Airport for your fight and transportation back to Central, PA. (Breakfast)

This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Payment
A deposit of $250 per person will confirm your reservation. Final Payment is due to AAA by September 11, 2025.

Insurance
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Flight
Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.
Clothing/Climate
Temperatures for Southern California in December and January average in the mid 60s. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Semi-formal or formal wear is suggested for the New Year's Eve Gala event.
Baggage
One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.
Travel Assistance
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
