Motorcoach from Central PA to a local international airport for an overnight flight to Athens, Greece.
Air Schedule will be shared once available. Group air schedule is in economy class. Seat assignments are controlled by the airline. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Air upgrades may not be on the same flight schedule as the rest of the group and must be requested at the time of the initial deposit.
Friday, November 6, 2026: Athens, Greece
Arriving in Athens, you will have time to explore the city independently before a welcome dinner with your fellow passengers. Hotel: Crowne Plaza Athens City Center (Dinner)
Saturday, November 7, 2026: Athens, Greece
Take in a panoramic tour of Athens' most famous monuments, including the Olympic Stadium and Temple of Zeus. Then, climb to the Acropolis* where you will see the iconic Parthenon. Hotel: Crowne Plaza Athens City Center (Breakfast)
Sunday, November 8, 2026: Athens - Thermopylae - Kalambaka, Greece
Travel northward from Athens to Thermopylae, where you will see a monument to Leonidas, who died defending Greece from Persian invasion. Then end your day at a family owned taverna for a traditional Greek meal. Hotel: Grand Hotel Meteora, Kalambaka (Breakfast, Dinner)
Monday, November 9, 2026: Kalambaka - Meteora - Arachova, Greece
Visit Meteora and take a guided tour of two remote Byzantine monasteries** nestled amongst natural limestone towers hundreds of feet tall. Then travel to Arachova, a ski resort town with a stunning view of mountains and valleys surrounding it. Hotel: Domotel Anemolia Resort & Conference, Arachova (Breakfast, Dinner)
Tuesday, November 10, 2026: Arachova - Delphi - Olympia, Greece
Take a tour of the ancient city of Delphi, one of Greece's religious centers during the Classical era. A local guide will take you to visit the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Doric Temple, the ancient theatre, and the Delphi Museum. Then travel into the Peloponnese to the city of Olympia, and a local farm in the nearby countryside to learn about everyday Greek life. There, enjoy a tasting of local wines, oils, jams, and sweets. Wednesday, November 11, 2026: Olympia, Greece
Take a guided tour of ancient Olympia, including the sanctuary of Zeus and the Olympic Stadium where the first Olympic Games were held. Then, join a Mediterranean cooking experience to learn traditional recipes, and enjoy a Greek lunch. Friday, November 13, 2026: Tolo - Nafplio - Tolo, Greece
Continue on to ancient Mycenae, ruled by King Agamemnon of Trojan War fame, where it's your choice! You can explore archaeological excavation sites at the Beehive Tombs and Lion Gate OR take a walking tour of Nafplio, Greece's first capital city. This city's mix of Venetian and Greek influences makes for a striking combination. Hotel: King Minos Hotel (Breakfast)
Saturday, November 14, 2026: Tolo - Piraeus Port - Aegina Island - Athens, Greece
Stop at the famed Piraeus Port to take a ferry to Aegina Island, where you are free to spend the afternoon at your leisure. A classical Greek island, you can enjoy local shops and markets, or venture further to see nearby archaeological sites. Then, gather with your fellow passengers for a farewell lunch before returning to Athens by ferry. Hotel: Crowne Plaza Athens City Center (Breakfast, Lunch)
Sunday, November 15, 2026: Athens - Central PA
Return home to Central PA via Athens International Airport.

*In order to access the Acropolis, you will be required to climb 50-60 steep, uneven steps and walk over rugged terrain with loose stones and without railings.
**In order to enter the monasteries in Meteora, all travelers must have their shoulders covered. Women must wear skirts or dresses that cover the knees or bring a scarf to tie around your waist if wearing pants. Men must wear long trousers. You may be denied entrance to the monasteries if this dress code is not followed. Accessing one of the monasteries requires climbing around 200 steps.
Level 3:
Moderate- Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank Visa page for Visa stamp(s) is required for this trip. As of the printing of this brochure all guests are required to obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) travel authorization to travel to Europe's Schengen Zone (not included in the price of the trip) Please see your AAA travel professional for more information.

Payment
A deposit of $698 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by July 23, 2026 .

October 21, 2026 to November 4, 2026 75% of total price per person

Flight
Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.
Insurance
For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Clothing/Climate
Temperatures for the Greek islands averages in the mid 60s during November, and you will be traveling to some high altitudes with wind expected. Appropriately layered clothing is recommended. Additionally, some stops on your tour will require a dress code. Please see itinerary for details.
Baggage
Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17"x14"x4" with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.
Travel Assistance
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing for those needing assistance.
