Half Moon Cay, Bahamas is unlike any other. Fun Things to Do:

  • Enjoy a horseback riding experience of a lifetime. Ride along trails up to the highest point on the island for panoramic views of Half Moon Cay, then ride back down to the corral where you’ll ride your horse through the ocean.

Amber Cove, Dominican Republic

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau, capital of The Bahamas, is a lowland region located north of Long Island South and south of the Atlantic Ocean.  It is a city known for featuring wondrous and picturesque views, perfect for those who love nature as well as sightseeing.  

Fun Things To Do:

  • Enjoy an excursion from Nassau to the idyllic Blue Lagoon Island, where you can swim with dolphins, interact with sea lions and stingrays, or even snorkel among native nurse sharks.
  • Cable Beach is the perfect "beach break" day, a Caribbean haven for glimmering waters and postcard-worthy landscapes.

Friday, February 28 - Depart for Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Motorcoach from Central PA to a local airport for a flight to Florida. Transfer from the airport to the hotel for your one-night pre-cruise hotel stay. 

Saturday, March 1 – Embarkation

After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to the pier to board the NIEUW STATENDAM®.

Transfer from the pier to the airport for your flight and transportation back to Central, PA.

General Information

Travel documents:

A valid government issued photo I.D. (drivers license or passport) is required for airport security. 

U.S. citizens on homeport cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port) are currently able to enter or depart the country with a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and government-issued photo ID. AAA recommends traveling with an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank visa page for visa stamp(s).

Payment:

Deposit of $250 per person/$500 per cabin will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by November 15, 2024.

Cancellation Penalties:

Deposit date to day of departure $25 per person, plus…

From Dec 2 – Dec 8, 2024:                   $250.00 per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees
From Dec 9 – Jan 14, 2025:                50% of money paid per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees

Flight:

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airlines 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flight schedules may contain code share agreements. 

Insurance:

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 day of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel advisor. AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate:

Average temperatures in the Caribbean for March is in the 80s. Daytime, casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Evenings require casual or semiformal attire, with two formal nights.

Baggage:

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airline or airport.

Travel Assistance:

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
