Saturday, Sept. 7: Depart for Las Vegas, NV

Motorcoach from Central PA to a local airport for a flight to Las Vegas, NV. 

Welcome to Las Vegas! This evening, meet your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception at The LINQ before you head out to the Las Vegas Strip. Later in the evening you will find yourself soaring 550 feet above the center of the Las Vegas Strip on the High Roller, the world's tallest observation wheel. Hotel: Horseshoe Las Vegas (Welcome Reception)

Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024: Death Valley National Park

Immerse yourself in the solitude and desolation of Death Valley. Listed as an UNESCO World Heritage Site and barren, yet an unexpectedly lively land of extremes which we will have an opportunity to explore for part of today. Admire scenic views of the undulating rocky landscape at Zabriskie Point and learn about the valley's unique geological features, history and intriguing weather patterns. Descend below sea level to the Badwater Basin. After lunch at 1849 Restaurant at The Ranch at Death Valley, we will continue through the desert landscape of Death Valley ascending to Mammoth Lakes, our home for the night. Hotel: Mammoth Mountain Inn (Breakfast, Lunch) 

Monday, Sept. 9, 2024: Mammoth Mountain and Yosemite National Park

Take a scenic Gondola ride to the peak of Mammoth Mountain (seasonal) and enjoy the stunning views while you enjoy a tasty breakfast. Touch the clouds through the Tioga Pass (seasonal) and enter the UNESCO listed Yosemite National Park. Driving past Tenaya Lake and Tuolumne Meadows, we journey to Yosemite Valley where we'll embark on a special valley floor tour. View Yosemite Valley's El Capitan, Cathedral Pocks, and Bridalveil Fall. Our Stays With Stories experience tonight includes a cozy lodge atmosphere and is located just a stone's throw from Yosemite Falls. Hotel: Yosemite Valley Lodge (Breakfast)

Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2024: Yosemite National Park

Explore Yosemite National Park today, famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, grand meadows, and iconic rock formations. Enjoy a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience as you meet a naturalist through the Yosemite Conservancy that will delve into the dynamic history of climbing in Yosemite through fascinating stories, photographs, and demonstrations. The Yosemite Conservancy is a non-profit organization that has provided over $140 million to Yosemite for more than 700 completed projects. They help improve trails, restore habitat, protect wildlife and inspire the next generation of nature-lovers. After the tour, you can explore Yosemite Valley's El Capitan, Cathedral Rocks, and Bridalveil Fall. The rest of the day is yours and in Yosemite the possibilities are endless. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024: Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Park

Departing Yosemite, stretch your legs in Kings Canyon National Park and gaze towards the sky as you greet the giant boughs of General Grant Tree. Enjoy a birds-eye view of the Kings Canyon before you continue along the Majestic Mountain Loop. Towering redwood trunks frame your journey to Sequoia National Park, where we'll spend the night in our Stays With Stories surrounded by forest and soaring Sierra peaks. MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® and spend the evening gazing upwards at the star-spangled sky as a local naturalist guides you through the constellations. Hotel: Wuksachi Lodge (Breakfast, Dinner)

Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024: Sequoia National Park

Tread in the footsteps of giants, walking beneath the soaring sequoia canopy to see first-hand the world's largest living tree, General Sherman. Learn about the Giant Forest and its history during a stop at the Giant Forest Museum, then enjoy a leisurely walk along the Big Trees Trail, connecting with the invigorating natural surrounds. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the park on your terms, using the complimentary shuttle system (seasonal). (Breakfast, Lunch)

Friday, Sept. 13, 2024: Los Angeles - Beverly Hills

Travel to Los Angeles, where you'll stroll down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, considered America's epicenter of high end lifestyle. As our invigorating encounter with California's epic natural beauty comes to an end, join your Travel Director and newfound friends for a Farewell Dinner. Hotel: Beverly Hills Marriott (Breakfast, Farewell Dinner)

Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024: Depart for Central, PA

After our tremendous journey through California's National Parks your tremendous journey comes to a close. Transfer to the Los Angeles International Airport for a flight and transportation back to Central, PA  (Breakfast)

To truly experience the program and destination, you need to be able to participate in physical activities such as longer walking tours, walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and period of standing. Some of the touring days may be longer, with select included activities occurring later in the evening.

Payment

A deposit of $200 per person will confirm your reservation. Final Payment is due to AAA by June 21, 2024.

Cancellation/Penalties

Deposit date to day of departure -         $25 per person, plus...

From July 1, 2023 - June 21, 2024 -      $200 per person, plus any additional supplier' fees
From June 22 - August 22, 2024-         30% per person, plus any additional suppliers’ fees
From August 23 - August 30, 2024  -    50% per person, plus additional suppliers’ fees
From August 31 - September 6, 2024- 90% per person, plus additional supplier' fees
After September 6, 2024  -                    NON-REFUNDABLE

Flight

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.

Insurance

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate

Temperatures for this region in September average in the 80’s with cooler evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered, comfortable walking shoes and a small umbrella are recommended.

Baggage

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
