Morning arrival in Wellsboro, PA. Get ready to step back in time and celebrate "Dickens of a Christmas". We'll begin our visit with an indoor, one-hour holiday theatre presentation of "A Christmas Carol" followed by a delightful lunch at the Penn Wells Hotel.  The remainder of the day will be at your leisure to enjoy the Dickens of a Christmas Celebration. Main Street will transform into an early Victorian marketplace featuring all types of delectable wares for eating and drinking, as well as delightful gift items to wear and enjoy. Performers and vendors will be appropriately costumed and decorated to create a Victorian atmosphere. It's not uncommon to stumble upon a little match girl, Scrooge, or strolling performers entertaining and delighting shoppers with their renditions of Christmas readings and carols.  

*The Dickens of a Christmas Celebration will mainly be outside. Please dress accordingly for cold; and potential inclement weather. 

5:00PM: Approximate departure time for Central Pennsylvania with a possible fast food stop en-route.

8:30PM: Approximate arrival time back in Harrisburg.

9:30PM: Approximate arrival time back in Lancaster.

This tour requires moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, upstairs, or on uneven surfaces, should be expected.

Payment

Full payment of $219 Adult per person, $209 Child per person is due to AAA with this registration to confirm your reservation. 

Cancellation/Penalties

After October 7, 2024, No refunds.

Insurance

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate 

Temperatures for Pennsylvania in December average in the 40s. Casual clothes that can be layered and comfortable walking shoes that are waterproof are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.    

Travel Assistance 

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
