Sunday, November 10, 2024: Depart for Pheonix, Arizona

Depart Central PA to the Baltimore Washington International Airport for a flight to Phoenix, AZ. Upon arrival, you'll meet with your Tour Director to board a deluxe motorcoach and travel north to beautiful Sedona. This upscale resort, retirement and artist community is set amongst the red-hued rocks of Oak Creek Canyon. Your home for the next five nights will be a picturesque property in the Sedona area. Tonight enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers. Hotel: Sedona Courtyard by Marriott or similar (Dinner)

Monday, November 11, 2024: Sedona

Start a great day with a Sedona Trolley Tour featuring the Chapel of the Holy Cross and Airport Mesa for spectacular views of the Sedona area. The trolley guide will give you insights into the carious rock formations, indigenous vegetation and history of the remarkable area. Later visit Uptown Sedona and the Spanish-Mexican Village of Tlaquepaque to explore these wonderful areas full of art galleries, shopping opportunities and restaurants. Maybe take an optional Guided Jeep Tour in the Sedona backcountry. This evening enjoy Sedona at your own pace. (Breakfast)

Tuesday, November 12, 2024: Grand Canyon

Begin an unforgettable day with a drive through amazing Oak Creek Canyon, a sixteen mile long canyon known for its spectacularly colored white, yellow and red cliffs dotted with pine, cypress and juniper. Then arrive in Williams to board the  Grand Canyon Railway  for a nostalgic two-hour train journey that delivers you to the awe-inspiring South Rim of  Grand Canyon National Park  for free time and lunch on your own. Six million years in the making the Grand Canyon's dynamic colors and textures inspire reflections at nature's power and beauty. Later board your motorcoach to see the Grand Canyon from other points of interest. Stop in Flagstaff for dinner before returning to Sedona. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Wednesday, November 13, 2024: Montezuma Castle - Jerome-Verde Canyon Railroad

This morning visit the Montezuma Castle National Monument which contains ruins of a cliff dwelling built in the 12th and 13th centuries by the Sinagua Indians. Later visit the old  mining town of Jerome, once a virtual ghost town, now restored with shops, museums and art galleries. Next travel to Clarkdale to board the  Verde Canyon Railroad  also known as the Wilderness Train. The spectacular four-hour ride in a First Class Railcar takes you between two national forests, past crimson cliffs, over old-fashioned trestles and through a 680-foot tunnel. This evening we return to Sedona to relax and explore the area on your own.  (Breakfast)

Thursday, November 14, 2024: Sedona at Leisure - Blazin' M Ranch

Today is at leisure in Sedona. Enjoy the wonderful amenities of your resort. Maybe spend the day shopping, sightseeing on your own or on a local golf course. An optional tour will be available. This evening experience a Farewell Dinner at the Blazin' M Ranch where you will enjoy a hearty Chuckwagon Supper and Western Stage Show. (Breakfast, Dinner)

Friday, November 15, 2024: Depart for PA

This morning travel to Old Town Scottsdale where Western storefronts recreate an aura of the past. Later arrive at the Phoenix Airport for your flight home filled with unforgettable memories of your Great Trains & Grand Canyons Tour. (Breakfast)

This tour requires moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, upstairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

A valid government issued  photo ID (drivers license or passport) is required for airport security.

As travel policies are rapidly changing as a result  of COVID-19, final requirements will be communicated prior to departure. Please see your Travel Advisor for additional information. 

A deposit of $400 per person to confirm your reservation. Final payment to AAA by August 6, 2024.

Cancellation Penalties 

Deposit date to the day of departure $ 25 per person, plus....

From May 15 to - August 6, 2024:                      $400 per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees 

From August 7 to September 11, 2024:              25% per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees

From September 12 to October 11, 2024           50% per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees

From October 12, 2024 to October 26, 2024-     75% per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees

After October 26, 2024- NON-REFUNDABLE

Flight

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat request cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.

Insurance 

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz. 

Clothing/Climate

The average temperature throughout the day in Arizona in November is in the high 60's and mid 30's to 40's in the evening. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work best. Comfortable walking shoes is recommended. 

Baggage

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.

Travel Assistance 

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance.
