Sunday November 9, 2025- Overnight Flight to Reykjavik, Iceland

Journey begins with overnight flight from Newark International Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland

Monday November 10, 2025- Reykjavik, Iceland

Welcome to Reykjavik Iceland. Check in to Centerhotel Plaza and experience charming and rustic Reykjavik with a local guide.  During the evening embark on a Northern Lights cruise** in search of the Northern Lights above Faxaflói Bay. Hotel: Centerhotel Plaza (Breakfast, Dinner) ** The Northern Lights Cruise departs from the port usually at 9:00 PM and finishes after 11:00 PM.  The Northern Lights Cruise is weather dependent and may be postponed or cancelled in the event of adverse weather or sea conditions. As this tour is weather dependent, sightings of the northern lights are not guaranteed. No refunds will be provided if northern lights are not visible. 

Tuesday November 11, 2025- Reykjavik - Golden Circle - Vik

Embark to the Golden Circle and witness the powerful Geysir thermal area and the stunning Gullfoss double falls.  Head to Thingvellir National Park where you'll stand on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and explore the Lava Exhibition Center to learn about the continuing changing landscape of Iceland through its volcanic lava flows.  Then we venture on to Vik where you'll have time to explore this beautiful Icelandic town and spend your evenings seeking out the Northern Lights as they dance across the night sky. Hotel: Hotel Dyrholaey  (Breakfast, Dinner)

Wednesday November 12, 2025- Vik - Reynisfjara - Vik

We begin in Vik as we head out to Reynisfjara, a volcanic sandy beach which is home to thousands of nesting sea birds such as the native puffin.  We continue on to Skógar Museum where you'll learn about Iceland's history and discover its turf built homes and artifacts.  Later you'll experience one of Iceland's most beautiful and biggest waterfalls at Skógafoss waterfall and then head over to Sólheimajökull Glacier to enjoy the rugged landscape of the glacial areas of the land.  (Breakfast, Dinner)

Thursday Novemeber 13, 2025- Vik - Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon - Vik

Today you'll head over to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon** as we search for seals swimming in the icy cold waters amongst floating icebergs and marvel at the beautiful landscape.  The day will allow us to embark on nature hikes throughout the countryside.  (Breakfast, Dinner)**Due to long-distance travels to the Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, you may expect free time after 1:00 PM for lunch on your own. 

Friday November 14, 2025- Vik - Blue Lagoon - Reykjavik

Today you'll drive along the Reykjanes Peninsula, an area with stunning landscape and known for its lava flows.  We'll head over to the Blue Lagoon where you can take a swim in the warm minerals waters in the heart of a stunning lava field.  We'll then head back to Reykjavik for a farewell dinner and overnight stay. Hotel: Centerhotel Plaza (Breakfast, Dinner)

Saturday November 15, 2025- Reykjavik - Tour Ends

We'll depart Iceland filled with inspiring memories as we journey back to Newark International Airport to end our experience. (Breakfast)

This tour requires moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, upstairs, or on uneven walking surfaces, should be expected.

Travel Documents

Original signed Passport  valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with least one blank Visa page for Visa Stamp(s) is required for this trip.

Payment

A deposit of $698 is due at time of reservations.  Final payment due to AAA by  July 28, 2025. 

Cancellation Penalties

From deposit date to day of departure $25 per person, plus...

From May 10, 2025 to August 10, 2025- $698 per person, plus any additional suppliers' fees

From August 11, 2025 to October 24, 2025 prior to departure:   40% of total price, plus any additional suppliers' fees

From October 25, 2025 to November 8, 2025 prior to departure: 75% of total price, plus any additional suppliers' fees

From November 9, 2025 and after:  Non Refundable 

*Airfare is non-refundable after final payment.

Insurance

For your protection , AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz. 

Clothing/Climate

This is a winter trip with brisk temperatures averaging between 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit.  Warm clothing including thermals, hats, gloves, jacket, and sturdy non-slip footwear are recommended.  If walking in the lava fields, glacial areas, or rocky beaches sturdy footwear, ice crampons, and waterproof jackets are required. 

Baggage

Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17"x14"x4" with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance.  If you require any special assistance while on tour, please make us aware at time of reservation so the necessary request form can be sent to your attention.
