Saturday March 28, 2026: Overnight Flight to Reykjavik, Iceland

Transfer from Central Penn to local international airport to embark on overnight flight to Reykjavik, Iceland

Sunday March 29, 2026: Reykjavik, Iceland

Once arriving in the charming capital city of Reykjavik, Iceland you'll be able to explore this beautiful and scenic city for a few hours before meeting your Travel Director for drinks and checking in to your hotel in the evening.  Hotel: Grand Hotel Reykjavik. 

Monday March 30, 2026: Reykjavik - Reykholt - Borgarnes

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Reykjavik with your Tour Director, taking in the sights such as Parliament, Harpa Concert Hall, and the city's main attraction of Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykholt, Iceland.  Afterwards, we'll journey through the undersea tunnel of Hvalfjörðr to Akranes and experience the country life of Iceland's heritage.  We'll swing by to view Hraunfoss and nearby Barnafoss, both stunning waterfalls and a stop off at Deildartunguhver, Europe's highest flowing hot spring.  Hotel: Hotel Vesturland (Breakfast)

Tuesday March 31, 2026: Borgarnes

You'll want to bundle up today, because after breakfast you'll be journeying to the Snaefellnes Peninsula to witness the rugged, windswept, rocky coastline of this land. You'll have the opportunity to see lava fields, volcanoes, glaciers, waterfalls and more as you have the choice to explore the area on your own OR you can join an optional excursion to cruise Breiðafjörður Bay and soak in the sights as well as sample some Viking sushi.  Hotel: Hotel Vesturland (Breakfast)

Wednesday April 1, 2026: Borgarnes - Selfoss

Enjoy breakfast because today is the day of natural wonders as we continue on our adventure through Thingvellir National Park on our way to Gullfoss Falls amidst the Golden Circle of Iceland.  We'll explore the world famous hot spring of Geysir and see Strokkur as it shoots steam high into the air.  Later in the evening you'll enjoy connecting with locals and listening to folk tales and songs as you are welcomed to a Be My Guest family dinner experience.  Afterwards we'll continue on to Selfoss to check in for the evening.  Hotel: Hotel Selfoss (Breakfast, Dinner)

Thursday April 2, 2026: Selfoss - Blue Lagoon - Reykjavik

Today after breakfast you'll travel to Hellisheiði, where you can witness the marvel of utilizing geothermal heat as a power source.  Afterwards you'll head to Reykjanes Peninsula, the only place in the world where you can see the Mid-Atlantic Ridge above sea level and a UNESCO Global Geopark.  Make sure you've packed your swimwear, because you'll be continuing on to the world famous Blue Lagoon where you can soak in the steaming turquoise blue waters and rejuvenate your body and soul.  Or you can relax in the sauna overlooking the lagoon and feel total relaxation.  This evening share in a dinner with your fellow travelers and Tour Director as you look back on this wonderful adventure.  Hotel: Grand Hotel Reykjavik (Breakfast, Dinner)

Friday April 3, 2026: Reykjavik - End of Tour

It's time to bid a fond farewell to this mystical land and the adventure of a lifetime.  Enjoy breakfast with your fellow travelers before checking out of the hotel and heading back to Keflavik International Airport for your overnight flight back home. (Breakfast)

Activity Level: 3

Moderate- Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concerns.

Travel Documents

Original signed Passport  valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with least one blank Visa page for Visa Stamp(s) is required for this trip.  As of the printing of this brochure all guests are required to obtain an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) travel  authorization to travel to Europe's Schengen Zone (not included in the price of the trip) Please see your AAA travel professional for more information.

Payment

A deposit of $200 is due at time of reservations.  Final payment due to AAA by:   January 14, 2026.

Cancellations Penalties

From deposit date to day of departure -  $25 per person, plus...

From deposit date to January 26, 2026 - $200 deposit, plus any additional supplier's fees

From January 27, 2026 to February 26, 2026 - 50% paid per person, plus any additional supplier's fees

From February 27, 2026 to March 26, 2026 - 80% paid per person, plus any additional supplier's fees

After March 26, 2026 - Non-Refundable

*Airfare is non-refundable after final payment.

Insurance

For your protection , AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz. 

Clothing/Climate

During March and early April, temperatures in Iceland average around 32-38 degrees.  You'll want warm clothing as many aspects of your tour will be outdoors. Also bring swimwear to enjoy the Blue Lagoon thermal hot springs. Comfortable walking shoes or boots are recommended. 

Baggage

Due to limited space while touring, all passengers are limited to one checked bag no more than 50lbs. You may also bring a small carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Soft sided carry-on bags no larger than 17"x14"x4" with a zippered enclosure are recommended. Wheeled carry-on cases that are used as carry-on luggage on airlines are too large and are not suitable as hand-carried luggage. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by the airlines or airport.

Travel Assistance 

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance.  If you require any special assistance while on tour, please make us aware at time of reservation so the necessary request form can be sent to your attention.
