Friday, April 10, 2026: Dallas Fort Worth

Depart by motorcoach to a local international airport. Upon arrival at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport, enjoy a night of rest and relaxation as you prepare for your tour the following morning. Hotel: TBD

Saturday, April 11, 2026: Dallas - Waco

From your hotel in Dallas, you will head south to Waco, where you can explore the Magnolia Market and Silo Baking Co, created by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Then, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Aloft Waco Downtown (Dinner)

Sunday April 12, 2026: LBJ Ranch - Fredericksburg

Travel further south, stopping at the famous Buccees rest stop on your way, until you reach Johnson City for a tour of Lyndon B. Johnson's childhood home. Then after lunch, visit the LBJ Ranch*, home to what Lyndon B. Johnson nicknamed the Texas White House. Later, you will have a chance to visit the 200-acre Wildseed Farm and Vineyard, featuring walking trails and gardens. In the evening, you are free to experience the beautiful German town of Fredericksburg. Hotel: Fredericksburg Inn & Suites (Breakfast, Lunch)

Monday April 13, 2026: Fredericksburg - San Antonio

In the morning, visit the National Museum of the Pacific War to learn more about World War II's Asiatic-Pacific theater. Then head to San Antonio for lunch at the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, where Teddy Roosevelt recruited his Rough Riders. Afterward, take in a cruise down the San Antonio River, where you'll see and learn about the city's many historic neighborhoods. Afterwards, enjoy your evening as you please in the historic city. Tuesday April 14, 2026: San Antonio

After breakfast, head to the Alamo, where you can take in the history of this 300 year old former mission. After hearing the stories of the Alamo, visit the San Antonio Missions, a National Historical Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring outposts founded by Spanish colonizers to spread Christianity. Then, enjoy lunch at local historic landmark and restaurant, Mi Tierra, before free time to further explore San Antonio. Hotel: Historic Menger Hotel (Breakfast, Lunch)

Wednesday April 15, 2026: Corpus Christi - Galveston

After breakfast at your hotel, travel to Corpus Christi where you'll enjoy a tour of the USS Lexington, a historic Aircraft Carrier originally built during World War II. Then, relax and enjoy the coastal drive to Galveston Island, where you can enjoy this quaint Gulf Coast town at your leisure. Hotel: Hampton Inn & Suites Galveston (Breakfast, Lunch)

Thursday April 16, 2026: Galveston - Nasa - Houston

After breakfast, take a tour of Galveston's Naval Museum. Then board the motorcoach for a visit to the Bryan Museum to see a collection focusing on Texas's military history. Afterwards, enjoy a tour of the NASA Houston Space Center's museum, control center, and grounds, before being released to explore the city. Hotel: Fairfield Inn & Suites League City (Breakfast)

Friday April 17, 2026: Arlington

Travel to Arlington, where you'll dine at Terry Black's BBQ, and explore the 6th Floor Museum to learn more about the assassination and legacy of John F. Kennedy. Then, take a tour of the National Medal of Honor Museum, and have a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Sheraton Inn Arlington (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Saturday April 18, 2026: Depart for Central, PA

Transfers will be provided to return to Dallas Fort Worth for your trip home to a local airport. (Breakfast)

Tour Activity Level 3: Moderate: Good mobility is required for this trip. Climbing stairs and standing for 2-3 hours at a time, as well as walking on some uneven terrain may be necessary. Portions of the itinerary may include higher altitudes. The itinerary may involve longer days up to 12-14 hours in length. This activity level is not recommended for travelers with significant mobility concern.

Payment

A deposit of $250 per person will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by  January 27, 2026.

Cancellation Penalties

Cancellation after February 10, 2026         100% non-refundable.

*Airfare is non-refundable after final payment.

Flight

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements.

Insurance

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate

Temperatures in Texas during April can reach an average of 80 degrees. Comfortable clothing for warm weather is recommended, as well as comfortable shoes for the walking portions of your tour.

Baggage

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or the airport. 

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing for those needing assistance.
