ITINERARY

Sunday, March 16: Welcome travel to Charlotte, NC

6:00AM: Motorcoach will depart from Lititz, Penn Cinema, 541 Airport Road, Lititz.

7:00AM: Motorcoach will depart Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn office, 2301 Paxton Church Road; travel to North Carolina.  

** Departure times are approximate and will be confirmed closer to travel. 

Depart Central, PA and travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to check into the hotel for an overnight stay. Take advantage of the Kickback Reception or venture out on your own to a local restaurant. Hotel: Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte, NC. (complimentary kickback reception) 

Monday, March 17: Ty Cobb Museum, Travel to Georgia 

After breakfast depart for Georgia with a visit to the Ty Cobb Museum where you can relive baseball history by viewing artifacts, original works of art and visual accounts of the brilliant articulate man known as the famed "Georgia Peach" on property once owned by Ty Cobb's family. This afternoon enjoy an included lunch before departing for the hotel for the evening. Hotel: Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, Tifton, GA. (Breakfast, Lunch)

Tuesday, March 18: Travel to Florida, Spring Training Game 

After breakfast depart for Clearwater, Florida with a stop for lunch at the Cleveland Street Market.  This afternoon we'll enjoy the first of three Spring Training games with infield seats (teams and game time to be announced). Check into the hotel with time to freshen up before an included dinner.  Hotel: St. Petersburg Marriott, Clearwater, FL  (Breakfast, Dinner)   

Wednesday, March 19: Clearwater City Tour, Spring Training Game 

After breakfast we'll meet our local guide for a tour of the Clearwater area.  This afternoon enjoy another Spring Training game with infield seats (teams and game time to be announced). Depending on the game time we will have an included lunch  OR  dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch OR Dinner)

Thursday, March 20: Tropicana Field Stadium Tour, Spring Training Game

After breakfast we'll depart for Tropicana Field for a guided Stadium Tour to include the Dugouts, Ray Tank (a 10,000 gallon fish tank just beyond the right-center field fence), Press Box, Rays Hall of Fame and so much more.  This afternoon enjoy our third and final Spring Training game with infield seats (teams and game time to be announced) infield seating.  Depending on the game time we will have an included lunch  OR  dinner. (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner)

Friday, March 21: Travel to Florence, South Carolina 

After breakfast depart for Florence, South Carolina with appropriate rest and meal stops en route. Check into the hotel with time to freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant. Hotel: Home2 Suites, Florence, SC. (Breakfast, Dinner) 

Saturday, March 22: Travel to Central Pennsylvania 

After breakfast depart for Central Pennsylvania with appropriate rest and comfort stops en-route. (Breakfast)

This tour requires average physical activity. You should be in good health, able to climb stairs and walk reasonable distances, possibly over uneven ground and cobblestoned streets.

As travel policies are rapidly changing, final requirements will be communicated prior to departure. Please see your Travel Advisor for additional information. 

Payment

$300 per person deposit is due at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by   December 1, 2024.

Cancellation/Penalties

A $25 per person cancellation fee will be charged by Discoveries in addition to any other supplier’s fees. From  October 30, 2024 to day of departure no refunds.

Insurance

For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.

Clothing/Climate

Temperatures for Florida in March average in the 60s. Casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather.  

Travel Assistance

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
