Arrive in New York City to meet our guide for the famous Brooklyn Chocolate Tour! During this 4 1/2 hour tour you will visit four of the finest traditional and artisanal chocolates being made in Brooklyn. The first stop will be the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn. Once there we'll have a scoop of their award-winning chocolate ice cream while Mark Thompson, the owner, tells us about his ice cream making process. Next it's off to the Chocolate Room in Cobble Hill. The owners will us about the history while we sample their award-winning mini chocolate cupcakes and Belgian hot chocolate. The third stop will be Raaka Chocolates in Red Hook. Raaka means "raw" in Finnish, so they don't roast their cocoa beans at Raaka. We'll be sampling some of their creative and imaginative chocolates. Last stop on the chocolate tour will be at Li-Lac Chocolates. Li-Lac is the oldest chocolate maker in NYC. While there you will get to enjoy samples of several varieties of chocolate.
Hopefully you've left a little room as we'll be stopping at Grimaldi's under the Brooklyn Bridge for a lunch. Everyone will receive 2 slices of Margherita pizza and a soft drink. After a fun filled day exploring the culinary world of Brooklyn, we'll depart for Central, PA with a fast food dinner stop on the way. (Lunch)
