Transfer by motorcoach from Central, PA to a local airport for an overnight flight* to Barcelona, Spain.

Monday, April 13, 2026: Barcelona

Start the morning by joining your local expert and walk to some of Barcelona’s main sights, exploring this amazing city as it was meant to be explored – on foot. After some free time for lunch on your own, embark on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, showcasing the Columbus Monument, Parc de Montjuic, and Antoni Gaudi’s Batllo House and Casa Mila building (UNESCO). A local expert accompanies you on a visit to the awe-inspiring La Sagrada Familia* (UNESCO), considered to be the most famous of Gaudi’s work. Work on the basilica began in 1882, and it’s scheduled to be completed in 2026, on the 100th anniversary of the architect’s death. (Breakfast)

Wednesday, April 15, 2026: Valencia - Albufera - Valencia

Valencia is a city full of contrasts, where a charming old town lives next to futuristic buildings. Explore the city’s old quarter on foot, discovering its history with a local expert. View the ornate Serranos Towers before wandering through the bustling central market, where you can shop side-by-side with the locals. Travel to Albufera, which with its freshwater lake that evolved from an ancient marine gulf, is one of the most important wetlands in Spain. Friday, April 17, 2026: Granada - Seville

This morning, join a local expert for a tour of the world-famous Alhambra** (UNESCO) a stone fortress overlooking the entire city and serving as a mesmerizing example of Islamic architecture. End your day in Seville, considered Spain’s “cultural capital.” Hotel: Barcelo Seville Renacimiento (Breakfast, Dinner)

**The walking tour of Alhambra will take approximately three hours. Alhambra tickets are not guaranteed and subject to availability per Spanish Governing Authority. ON the rare occasion that tickets are not available, another top Spanish attraction will be confirmed. Passport information must be confirmed and up to date at least 150 days prior to departure or admittance to Alhambra will not be granted. 

Saturday, April 18, 2026: Seville

Embark on a panoramic tour before arriving at the iconic Plaza de España. Then decide how you see Seville because   it’s your choice! Walk the Santa Cruz quarter with an expert guide, admiring the orange trees and white-washed houses  -OR- see the city from a different perspective with a boat ride on the Guadalquivir River, drifting by timeworn bridges and towers. Later, visit the Seville Cathedral*** (UNESCO) – the largest Gothic church in the world – and see Columbus’ tomb and the Giralda Bell Tower. Enjoy some free time this afternoon. Wednesday, April 22, 2026: Elvas - Lisbon

You may choose to try one of the local delicacies – sour cherry liquor served in chocolate cups – or simply enjoy the narrow streets and picture-perfect alleyways. A deposit of $698 per person will confirm your reservation. Final Payment is due to AAA by  December 29, 2025

Flight

Air arrangements are handled by the tour operator. Seat assignments cannot be confirmed until the tour operator releases names to the airline(s) 30 days prior to departure. Specific seat request cannot be guaranteed. Some flights may contain code share agreements. 

Insurance

For your protection, AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz. 

Clothing/Climate

Temperatures in Spain and Portugal in April average in the mid 50s and 60s with slightly cooler mornings and evenings. Pack for a variety of temperatures. Casual clothes that can be layered work best. Comfortable walking shoes and a small umbrella are recommended. 

Baggage

One suitcase per person will be allowed. You may also bring a carry-on bag small enough to fit under your seat. Baggage fees are not included in the price of the trip. Baggage fees and other charges may be directly assessed by airlines or airport.

Travel Assistance 

For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing needed assistance.
