Highlights
6:30AM: Motorcoach will depart Harrisburg, AAA Central Penn office, 2301 Paxton Church Road.
7:30AM: Motorcoach will depart from Lititz, Penn Cinema, 541 Airport Road, Lititz; travel to Alexandria, VA with a rest stop en route.

Arrive in Old Town Alexandria to explore the historic and architecturally unique town that has prospered for over two hundred years. Discover locally owned and operated restaurants off the beaten path in this historically rich town. On your guided, narrated walking tour, you will experience and learn about Old Town Alexandria's significance throughout the history of our country. During the tour, you will stop to sample specially made dishes at long standing family owned restaurants. Your guide will also talk about the history of the Cherry Blossom trees in D.C. and enjoy a Cherry Blossom themed dessert! Ample food is served that most participants will not need lunch after the tour. All dishes are served sitting down, so you can enjoy the ambiance of each restaurant while trying their specialties, and hearing their stories. Next you'll enjoy a 45 minute sightseeing water taxi cruise on the Potomac River over to the Wharf hopefully seeing some beautiful Cherry Blossoms along the way!
6:00PM: Approximate departure time for Central Pennsylvania with a possible fast food stop en-route.
9:00PM: Approximate arrival time back in Lancaster/Lititz.
10:00PM: Approximate arrival time back in Harrisburg.

This tour requires moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, upstairs, or on uneven surfaces, should be expected.

Full payment of $279.00 per person is due to AAA with this registration to confirm your reservation.
Cancellation/Penalties
After December 27, 2024, No refunds.
Insurance
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz.
Clothing/Climate
Temperatures for Alexandria, VA in March average in the 50s. Casual clothes that can be layered and comfortable walking shoes that are waterproof are recommended; be prepared for potential inclement weather. There is a significant amount of walking required on this tour.
Travel Assistance
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
