Newport, RI
View the fabulous millionaire mansions built in Renaissance, Rococo, French and Victorian style atop Newport’s cliffs. Its yacht-filled harbor has hosted the America’s Cup. Closer to sea level, the city’s streets and sandy shores offer a fine array of picturesque locations for taking in the Rhode Island sea breeze.
FUN THINGS TO DO:
- Visit Rose Island Lighthouse Overlooking Narragansett Bay, This restored 1869 lighthouse still serves as a navigation aid for sailors and is operated by vacationers who act as "lighthouse keepers" in exchange for accommodations.
- Marble House, the Vanderbilt family envisioned this home to be the "Temple of the Arts" in America. This opulent stone palace, inspired by the Petit Trianon at Versailles, was commissioned in 1888, and is opened for tours.
- Take a cliff walk stroll along a picturesque mile and a quarter of Newport's famous Cliff Walk, the path between the rocky coastline and the "backyards" of many of Bellevue Avenue's palatial cottages.

Halifax, Nova Scotia
Located on the shores of the world’s second-largest natural harbor, the “City of Trees” adds to the pastoral beauty of Canada’s maritime region. An extensive network of walking trails extends from the waterfront out to a series of beautiful parks and vibrant gardens, inviting exploration.

- Explore the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia's extensive collection, with over 2,000 permanent works.
- Take a historical and anecdote-filled tour through the streets of Halifax. Explore the hilltop fortress and the Citadel, and stroll through the beautiful Victorian-style public gardens.
- Relax on a drive through the beautiful Nova Scotian countryside to the moody, weathered village of Peggy's Cove. Walk along the rocks to view the craggy coastline with its bold glacier-formed outcroppings of granite and its impressive lighthouse.

General Information
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
U.S. citizens on homeport cruises (cruises that begin and end at the same U.S. port) are currently able to enter or depart the country with a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and government-issued photo ID. AAA recommends traveling with an original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, and with at least one blank vis page for visa stamp(s).
As travel policies are rapidly changing, requirements will be communicated prior to departure. Please see your Travel Advisor for additional information.
*Canada reserves the right to deny entry to anyone with a felony conviction including a DUI record. AAA is not responsible if you are denied entry to Canada and no refund will be provided.

Deposit of 25% of fare per cabin will confirm your reservation. Final payment is due to AAA by February 17, 2025

INSURANCE
For your protection AAA recommends travel insurance. Pre-existing medical conditions may be waived with proper coverage if travel insurance is purchased within 14 days of initial deposit only. Other conditions may apply; ask your travel agent. AAA recommends Allianz insurance.
CLOTHING/CLIMATE
Average temperatures in Canada and New England in July range from the high 70s to low 80s. Daytime, casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Evenings, after 6 pm, on board require smart attire or Gala evening attire in most of the bars, restaurants, and entertainment venues. For the two gala evenings onboard the ship "dress to impress", where you are asked to observe an elevated dress code.
BAGGAGE
Two suitcases per person will be allowed by the cruise line. You may also bring a small carry-on bag.
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE
For personal comfort, group participants who need assistance are required to have a traveling companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the needed assistance.
